"Nawaz comes close to treason"

haw haye, bechara Nawaz has only one steel mill in Saudi Arabia, I'm sure the mill is only worth $1000. The dude has no problems if he causes total chaos in Pakistan atleast his income and investments are safe.

Wow, he had a rally in a Hindko/Punjabi majority city. Amazing.

You're missing the whole point, that's all. Once again, nawaz sugar mill sharif's petty fight with zardari is not worthy of being called jihad.

Re: "Nawaz comes close to treason"

There is nothing bad Zardari did, that Shareef won't do if he was in power.

How I know this?

Because Shareef did all that and more, when he was in power.

so what is the democratic attitude?

It is, to accept the current rulers, and excercise your vote 4 years from now. Election is over, so street riots and anti-Zardari slogans, serve no purpose. It can only hurt the country. Opposition should negotiate with the government, knowing that the elected government should have the upper hand. Democratic parties should show democratic attitudes.

haye, kitna pyar hai Zardari sey.

Looks like Sharif Brothers can not wait 4 more years for electiions. If they get in power again, they should change the constitution to have elections every year. :)

Re: "Nawaz comes close to treason"

Aalsi, this LM is for Iftikhar's reinstatement, not for elections, and Shahbaz said we'll pardon Zardari if he does that. Also, I personally think its time to clean the mess created by Musharraf by getting rid of Zardari, I am sure deep down you want that to.

Re: "Nawaz comes close to treason"

Clean the mess by musharraf by reinstating a judge who sweared oath on PCO? Awesome, let me know how that works out.

Re: "Nawaz comes close to treason"

Because, Ifti will go after that 'kasayi' hiding in London, and reopen cases against Zardari.

Re: "Nawaz comes close to treason"

And that will erase PCO oath of course! Going after sindhis/mohajirs erases your sins! You're on a roll.

that is so undemocratic.
I am sure deep down you can't possibly be that undemocratic.

oh come on, I hate him.
But I accept people's choice,
which means he is my president.

you need to learn a lot about democratic attitudes,
before you could understand why democracy did not florish in Pak.

Zardari is not a democratically elected president, he is a result of a deal and a manipulation of the system. Laws and people to keep him out were discarded. This is the democracy you envision:

  • Pardon exiled murdering extortionists and money laundering thieves (ala NRO)
  • Manipulate the judiciary, constitution to serve your personal needs
  • In fact, just suspend the constitution altogether, and impose as many emergencies as you can
  • Crack down on civilian protesters, politicians, lawyers, and the media
  • Support whoever is ready to ally themselves with pakistan's number one terrorist party

If we accept PPP's argument that Nawaz Sharif had limited support from a small region, then all the people protesting are not NS's supporters. Which means that a huge majority of people apart from PML(N) supporters are protesting. Which means that this is not NS v/s Zardari. This is justice v/s dictatorship.

If people so desperately wanted judiciary to be restored (above all),
why didn't they elect PML-N to power?

kakabilli: "This is justice v/s dictatorship."

If Nawaz is SO fond of free judiciary then why did he attack Sajjad Ali Shah?

Re: "Nawaz comes close to treason"

Because PPP up until Zardari became president was the forerunner for the restoration of the deposed judiciary.

no it was PML-N. Its a common knowledge.
Disagreements are welcome, but don't lie, to make your point.

Looks like you are starting to think like Zardari. Not only did the PPP, ala Benazir led the restoration of judiciary bandwagon by calling him the true CJ of Pakistan, but even after the elections they inked a WRITTEN accord to restore it. Please review that accord if you are having such a hard time believing that.

PPP was in agreement with PML-N over restoration of judiciary (including CJ) probably even after elections, but they kept PML-N pushing. They tried to negotiate PML-N out of this by restoring other judges but not CJ.
