Looks like you are starting to think like Zardari. Not only did the PPP, ala Benazir led the restoration of judiciary bandwagon by calling him the true CJ of Pakistan, but even after the elections they inked a WRITTEN accord to restore it. Please review that accord if you are having such a hard time believing that.
Just calling him true CJ, is not equal to leading the judiciary bandwagon. BB was even ready to work under Musharaf, if you recall. CJ issue was top priority for PML-N, not for PPP.
Actually, Musharraf was ready to work under BB, and not the other way around, just like how he became Zardari's servant a little while after, until he got a thudda.
BB went to CJ Iftikhar's house and said he was the CJ of Pakistan, end of story.

Demand for restoring CJ came from PML-N. Nawaz insisted on it.
People elected PPP (not PML-N).
If CJ issue was so big for them, they would have elected PML-N.
end of story.
Are you saying PPP never supported CJ issue before election?
not as strongly as PML-N did. They ran the whole campaign on it, and still lost the elections.
Look I know you support Nawaz, but you must understand that it was him who was pushing for it, and he did not win. So CJ should wait for next 4 years, for his hardcore supporter to come in power, and get him his job back.

They didnt, the only losers that came out of the elections were the Q lota leaguers. Also, please dont try to re-write history, even that zardari is on record pledging he'll restore the judges. The first order of business for Gillani was to get the illegally house arrested judges out.

interesting. I heard the same from another Nawaz supporter, that PML-N did not lose the election. Then what happened? why is Gillani the PM, if PPP lost the last election. Why didn't they put one PML-N leader as PM. That is crazy right?
Plz don't tell me both PPP and PML-N won the election. Its like saying both Democrates & Republicans won in 2004.

Incorrect. You missed Benazir's election speeches, PPP was on same page as PML-N until Benazir was murdered. PPP signed Murree Declaration even after elections.

PML[N] ran in one just one province, and emerged as the single largest party even after 1-2 weeks of election campaigning. After the elections, the headlines read 'Musharraf's party routed' in both the international and domestic media. That again is not the point here, the point is, the PPP even after the elections pledged and signed the declaration to restore Iftikhar.
If you believe, that at any point in time,
PPP was a BIGGER exponent of restoring CJ than PML-N,
then you are fooling yourself.
Eitezaz was the only PPP leader, with strong opinions on restoring CJ. He was sidelined by Zardari, well before the election. PPP still went on to win the election.

I rest my case.
Is that why Zardari signed Murree declaration? Do you have comparative analysis how much "bigger" exponent was PML-N than PPP?
Whether or not PPP was bigger exponent, they did support restoration of CJ, case dismissed.
