The uncompromising, aggressive attitude of Nawaz could lead Pak to further disturbances. We can only wish he may be able to understand doing politics within some boundries.
Pakistan: Opposition chief comes close to treason
By CHRIS BRUMMITT – 49 minutes ago
ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistan’s top security official warned opposition leader Nawaz Sharif on Monday that his recent anti-government speeches amount to treason.
Rehman Malik said the government had “no intention” of arresting Sharif but suggested it had the grounds to do so.
Political tensions are rising in Pakistan ahead of a planned anti-government rally in the capital by Sharif’s party and lawyers later this week. The crisis comes as the nuclear-armed country battles rising violence by al-Qaida and Taliban militants.
In a televised media conference, Malik read out extracts from several speeches he said were made by Sharif, a former prime minister, in recent weeks.
“Inciting people for disobedience is sedition. … It could get life imprisonment and a fine,” Malik said.
Any move to arrest Sharif or other high-profile members of his party would be a major escalation of the crisis and would likely trigger violent protests.
Rehman also appealed for Sharif to negotiate with the government for a solution to the crisis, which was triggered last month when the Supreme Court banned the opposition leader and his brother from elected office.
Malik said the government would not outlaw the march but said the protesters would not be allowed to rally in front of the parliament building or other downtown areas, as they are planning. He suggested they protest in a park on the outskirts of the Islamabad.
Anarchy started with imposing Governor rule in Punjab, now sit back and enjoy the show.
May be you can, but I would not "enjoy" anarchy in my country. Pakistan is facing grave security dangers from Taliban's mutiny. Pakistan has just got rid of another military dictator.
Now is the time for everyone in politics to stay away from creating anarchy, if they really believe in the country instead of their party.
Nawaz unfortunately is asking people to start creating chaos and anarchy. This is a recipe for disaster. Others may call it treason against Pakistan.
I heard half of the conference of this TOP SECURITY guy,
what was he saying, that no body can say anything against the govt.? is that true?
Hahahahaha this coming from the man who cracked down on media in Pakistan that spoke against him.
Honestly, Pakistan would be better off without the Sharifs and without Zardari. Part of me hopes that Zardari hangs the Sharif brothers, causes massive uproar, then Kayani steps in and hangs Zardari, and then immediately steps out for free and fair elections with the goon squad.
I'm not passing judgement on Bilawal yet- he's not proven to sicken me... so far.

Man that could be some movie even Bollywood/Hollywood directors would be proud of to get it this way ;)
Dil kay khush rakhney ko Ghalib yeh Khiyaal acha hay :)
He quoted two recent statements of Nawaz Sharif as saying: ‘I order the people not to obey the government and wage Jihad against it.’ ‘I have raised Alm-i-Baghawat and urge you (people) to join me in the long march.’
Now imagine what Nawaz’s reactions would have been if anyone else would have said it. Traitor?
Anarchy has been spread by the govt not PML - N. Why did they impose governor rule, the mandate of the people of Punjab has been made a joke of. Shame on zardari and PPP. The quicker we get rid of this dimwit the better.
