A nation gets the leaders it deserves. Backward people of Pakistan who learn from uneducated mullahs find themselves in the same predicament every few years.

You think only people who are learning from "uneducated mullahs" are responsible for this problem? What about PML-N leadership (and its followers)? What about PPP leadership (and its followers)? What about MQM leadership (and its followers)? Have all these people learned from uneducated mullahs? Larger part of urban population supports these goons, and I don't believe larger population in urban areas is getting education from uneducated mullahs. The problem is multif-fold/multi-faced you can't use one person as scapegoat for the ills of the country.
Its not the sole problem, but many of Pakistan's ills can be traced to, or incorporate the stupid amount of clout given to prayer leaders and mic-warriors who have no credentials to run a bake-sale, let alone a nation.
In direct elections, yes. But** the establishment** is in-bed with those idiots hampering any efforts to move against them.
See that is the major problem, not people supporting them. Establishment promoted Afghan as "The Jihad", establishment promoted "Jihad Kashmir" and used the same "uneducated mullahs" to recruit people for their agenda, now same "promotion" is coming to bite us in the behind.
exactly my view. Pak is the largest sponsor of state terrorism in the world.
well technically the largest gathering of muslim mercenaries was in afghanistan against the soviets under the auspices of US, Saudi Arabia and pakistan.
PPP has a complete right to propose whoever they feel is the right persont o be the president of Pakistan. They are theparty that received majority votes so majority of people sent them to the assemblies, now..u can disagree, and a person really ought to be considered innocent until proven guilty no matter how much we make fun of the guy.
this is not an endorsement of zardari, but just taking a step back and saying why we are so upset about it. Look, if people dont like this decision then they will come out in the streets as they have against musharraf, and next elections they will sent PPP packing. PPP knows that and will do whatthey think is the right decision dont you think?
Amongst all possible candidates, Zardari is the best in sense that he has most votes behind him and thus 'voice of democracy' for those who love democracy.
