To both Ali and muqawwee, the city is not in a bubble or a vacuum. Even if deweaponization of the whole city is done, the weapons will again pour in from other parts of the country.
Actually, deweaponization of the city is not humanly possible. We can not even deweaponize a small locality of Lyari, let alone the city.
If deweaponization is the goal then it should happen all over the country instead of selected cities. But how can this happen when in FATA weapons are considered a man’s ‘zayvar’?!
In such scenario, the best thing to do is to catch the culprits responsible for crimes in the city, regardless of political affiliation. Be it MQM, PPP, ANP, PML, etc.
