I agree with the points made, but is Pakistan also not responsible for this mess by supporting the Taleban in the first place while they allowed Al-Qaeda to set up camp in Afghanistan?

You should ask US why they allowed AlQaida in Afghanistan in first place and why they imposed this war on Pakistan.
