In “some areas” she may well have been a good mother, just how some mothers and fathers may provide a warm home and clothing for their child but yet manage to commit depraved sexual acts on them. The point is unless there has been a miscarriage of justice her mental condition would have been thorougly assessed and qualified people would have declared her mentally unstable had she been so.
Some things go beyond the comprehension of decent human beings and we seek to make excuses for what we do not understand.
