The “divide-and-rule” policy had begun much earlier and the Independence of Pakistan was the end result of the British stoking the communal flames.

I think even the Indians are happy and thankful about this, the only problem is that the big K conflict was born as a result of forming countries based on only religion.

don’t know about quaid getting hell/heaven, but one thing is for sure…pakistanis in pak are living in hell. indians are better off without pak and they should be glad that in the next 50-60years there won’t be any pak left as the way pakistanis are selling this country for their own greed and interests.

Point to be noted: not ALL the muslims are separated from the Hindus. There are many many muslims still in India and are very proud citizens of the country.
Regarding Phatima’s comments on: are you Indian, no, same thing, I can understand how that must feel. I am an Indian married to a Pakistani. We mostly associate with Pakistani families and it is often assumed that I am from Pakistan…so, often times I am the only Indian sitting in a room full of Pakistanis. While Bollywood movies would be running in the background, detailed talks of Indian film stars and movie songs, etc etc., negative discussions on India and Indians are also very common. But I don’t usually jump up and down and try to make a point. Hey, everyone has a right to their opinion.
It is a pity because though my husband and I are from these 2 separate countries, we live very peacefully together, better than many Pakistani couples or Indian couples. I feel there are more ego problems than real problems and unfortunately, there is no solution. Phatima, next time someone offends you, just clarify yourself and don’t take them too seriously. Some people are plain ignorant while some are just mean.

yes, many muslims still in india. but unfortunately they are considered worse off than the untouchables of their caste system. u can fight me on this if u like but it doesn't change the truth. are the muslims in india proud of their country? yes, but i don't understand why? well, i guess in a way i do. u see its all about ethnicity; the gujarati muslims are by ethnicity guju's so obviously they'll be proud of gujrat and hence india; same for south indian muslims and the tamil muslims and the bihari muslims. yet, the fact is they are in a minority and treated worse than dirt.
as a pakistani and a muslim, i feel your plight. y'all are our brothers (and sisters) in islam but some of these indian muslims prefer hindus more than us pakistani muslims and that i find troubling.

oh and as far as pakistani discussions about not liking indians; well the simple fact is that as a country we don't like india. we just don't; like u said everyone is entitled to their opinion.
