Re: Post deletions
I will speak for myself again:
Most of the times, people know why the post was deleted, but lets assume people didn't know: I sometimes remove 20+ posts per day. If you (in general) are thinking I will sit there and PM each poster why their post was deleted, I think you are asking a little too much. Like I said, most people know the reason but tell me this: Would it be better and easier if I PM 20 people whether they need to know or not or about 5 people PM me and I reply to 5 PMs and explain them why the post was removed?
And you admit it too, it's not a big deal if a post gets deleted, and I also don't think it's not a big deal if you just PM the moderators (put all of them in recipient box) and ask them why your post was removed? Sometimes it may not be your post that was bad: i.e. Someone posted something that needed moderation and you quoted that person, not only does the original post gets deleted, but your reply also gets deleted because it had the quote in it. It's better to remove the whole reply than to just edit and delete the quote and leave the reply there.
