even though my inlaws live in differnt country,and m getting married in nov,then too i recieved eidii,yayyy!:P
although it wasnt that EIDI KI RASM type ov thngy,but my mami in law lives here,so my mother inlaw asked her to buy a dress for me n give it to me before it so that i can wear it on eid,she asked me what type ov dress do i need,and then bought accordingly:).my fiance also sent me money to buy eid ka jora:),hes so gud MASHALLAH,so overall i got two dresses,n they r hell gorgeous MASHALLAH:)

That's excellent! My MIL-2-B is also in a different country so she bought me a dress that's in the mail now and I got bangles, jewelry, cash, chocolates and flowers delivered today!:D

^ depends on the families really, some dont get anything from either end and some get alot from both sides.

^^My mom and MIL both broght me clothes.
My in laws are very wealthy people so they bought me 2 beautiful sets in addition to desginer clothes. However, I wanted to wear something I picked out since it was my first Eid. So me and hubby went shopping and I bought something I liked. I don't mean their clothes weren't pretty, but I will save them for another party the weekend after Eid.

My first eid fter shadi we were in the US with my parents. They gave us both cash eidi. Ammi had bought a new kurta for hubs not specifically for eid but she gave it him right before and became his eid jora. I wore one of my bari saris that was brand new and a shalwar suit that was brand new.
For my second eid, we were in Pak with inlaws, i already had joras to wear from my shadi but they did give us cash eidi.
I guess both our families dont do anything extra special like joras, considering we had been married recently and certainly didnt need any new clothes.

me got my eidi some days back too a typical one dress…mehendi …jewlery…loadssssssss of choorian etc loved the choorian though
