Grave of the Holy Prophet SAW

I remember reading a few years back that there was an atempt to dig a tunnel from a house in Medina to tomb of the Holy Prophet SAW.
It was then that the " No non muslims in Mecca or Medina" rule came into affect.

Has anyone heard of this?

Yes I once heard about it too.

I think it was two Morrocan Jews or Christians who settled in Medina as traders and pretended to be pious Muslims, praying day and night and giving Alms and charity to the poor, when the people of Medina became convinced that they were pious people they let them live in a house/room close to the sacred grave.

Secretly they started digging an underground tunnel from their room/apartment towards the holy chamber where the body of the Prophet SAW rests but before their plan could be succesful the Caliph of that time dreamt about the Prophet SAW who pointed towards these men and said "save me from them".

The Caliph told his wazeer the dream who said let's head to Medina, when they got here they saw those two Morrocan Kafirs and enquired about them, then they had their apartment searched and covered in one part of the room was a unfinished tunnel going towards the sacred chamber.

I think they were executed.

I think the person who dreamt about Prophet Muhammad(SAW) was Sallahudin Ayyubi. Allah hu Alim

A True Miracle that Rasul Allah (PBUH) can influence the outcome of human events even while in the Alame arwah, no other Prophet of Allah had that capability! Subhan Allah wa be humdi hi, Subhan Allah hil Azeem............

As much as I want to ask the same question which hareem asked (*How can we know that no other Prophet had that ability), *I also want to ask you Hypno... that how did you conclude that pattern (Messanger playing God) from what SindSagar said.

yeah see, how do you know it was not a tactic by Zangi to rally the masses against the christians (we are talking about the time of the crusades here)? It was the christians he accused… Zangi was not the best of the “Sultans” from what I understand…

I disagree.

first, they were jews living in madinah pretending to be Muslims scholars…

second, it is a historic fact that and written everywhere that a tunnel was found from their houses to the grave of the prophet:saw: .. Zangi:rehm: did travel in that tunnel and found the holy feet of the prophet:saw:, kissed them and then ordered to seal it with Lead wall around the grave to protect it from future incident.

There was a reason the tribe of the prophet said to him: “Howcome when we have DIED and BECOME DUST: This is a farfetched RETURN”

when the European invaders launched an attack in Jerusalem against the ruling muslim emperors during the time of Zangi… It was later lead by his commander Salahud-din-Ayoobi:rehm:

It is hard to argue with a person who would denouce the theory of evolution on the one hand and vouch for a tactical move turned heresay fairytale. So yeah, I have nothing to discuss with you brother. Carry on with the madness...

I usually dont agree with Hypno and we are arguing most of the time but really this thought always lingers in my mind. What if it was a popularity stunt by Noorudin zangi. Who would know about that? WE are talking about a dream here.

And really if you look at it logically, how could you start a tunnel from outside and reach exactly at the feet of Rasoolullah, just by guessing. Yes it is possible that you actually start the tunnel from the feet side, to begin with.

And then the episode about him inviting the whole city for dinner and some how learning that two people did not show up. Wouldn't it be smoother to do home to home search to find those two people. All he had to do is to tell his police to find all the people who look like this.

But obviously it would be a less dramatic and sensational approach. He wanted the whole city to witness that dramatic unfolding and the conclusion of his true dream

I remember that PTV aired a drama based on this incident. It was presented by the Karachi center.

Coincidentally, Dr. Aamir Liaqut Hussain has just cited another incident that took place in Iraq not long ago (Daily Jang: Urdu News - Latest Breaking News update Pakistan - jang.com.pk). Sahabi Hazrat Huzaifa Bin Alimaan :ra: asked Shahe-e-Iraq and Mufi-e-Azam Iraq n their dreams that his grave be shifted to another place. It was getting soaked by River Faraat’s water. After that the sahabi’s :ra: grave, along with that of another sahabi Hazrat Jabir Bin Abdullah :ra:, were moved. Many people witnessed the incident. The Ajsaam-e-Mubarik of both sahaaba were in perfect condition, as if they have been buried just a few hours ago. The details can be read on the link above.

Oh yeah... them being stories and fairy tales is harder to swallow than considering them to be true.
