Religiously speaking, the original question is technically wrong. Ask mighty does not “need” anything from us mortals. If we obey certain commands, then its to save our own butt in the day of judgment. So in fact, it’s us who “need” the laws.

Real debate is if opposing blasphemy is a requirement or not, and what constitutes blasphemy.

And when all the population went back to monotheism, who were they suppose to entertain with idols?

1-idols were put there against the basic concept of that place.

people did worship other gods in pre-isamic arabia but their idols and place of worship was wiped out. would you consider destroying idols as blasphemy?

I have heard a lot of crap about islam. No problem with that. If some one want to discuss islam in any way, I am all for it.

Law are made over issues, we have issue in pakistan. We made a law.

I only have respect for Govt to act on an issue, it shows me that they worry about people.
some what like when they made law agaisnt kites.

Now what you asking is nothing short or miracle, you want whole population to become so mature over night, that they could handle such situation ??
