Decent 6Chora I agree with you there and if some people read my initial post, I did not say there was anything inherently wrong with the guy. I think his reasoning may have been a little premature considering that we had not spoken for that long.
I accept however, that sometimes when you don't get the 'click' you move on... had I not thought there was a future then I would have done the same !

Probably he doesn't want it the way you want it. He's being genuine/nice and at the same time letting you know that he doesn't want to move forward with it and doesn't wanna hurt you. He probably didn't even want you to think the way you're thinking ( to be together kinda thing)

Well obviously he was only 'pretending' to tick all your boxes, because in the end he said 'im jus a nice guy' nothing more. He wanted you to be more open. correct me if im wrong but open about how many guys you've been with? what you wud do with them? (please dont be offended) im jus asking.. Ok so after all this he has decided he doesnt want you because you dont jus give yourself away like that. and rightly so! Why shud you! Anyway if this guy cant see how much self respect you have then i wud suggest you jus forget about this guy. As he said he wud of ended up hurting you. I know its hard... but its only been a month?
