It’s depressing to see what actually goes on in the Islamic Republic Of Pakistan. Afetr you guys see the videos added below please do comment. I mean personally, i think it’s about time things changed. Changed in the law have to be made.

Education is the most important thing that south asia needs. I’m not Pakistani or Muslim so I don’t want to make any comments about islamic law in relation to all this but in terms of the video you posted about women and violence:teary3: …don’t know what to say, some images are so shocking

Women are always victims, barbaric indeed. Our people need education of all sorts.
Mama I don’t know if you have grown up in Pak or not but as far as police brutality is concerned, I think these videos do highlight the need for a code of conduct but it doesn’t show what happens to police officers caught off-guard by the public. But then again these police officers do get selected from public anyway.

pakistan is **NOT **an islamic country despite the label , it only applies a few certain regulations which are in shariah
women in pakistani society are mostly uneducated and weak and like the poor , orphans and peasents often exploited by the powerful which they do under various excuses...that has nothing to do with islam or shariah.
The only solution is the rigrous implementation of shariah so that there are no injustices to weak and poor

What is so Islamic about the abuse met out to these women?
You want something to be done, the starting point is to make suggestions on what needs to be done...suggesting laws be abandoned seems like the wrong way to go about it when, if anything, consistent and meaningful law enforcement by qualified individuals seems to be the problem.
Conflating the abuse (many of which happens in non-Muslmi countries...that goes without say) with Islam itself is a sure fire way of talking about anything BUT the abuse...unless the intent is to use these women to move an ideological agenda forward, rather than real concern for their plight.
So....what steps can be made to ensure a unified, and properly enforced set of laws to guard against these kinds of cases? What social and legal tools are at our disposal?

No one needs "permission," to speak their mind.
Shariah, like any theocracy, exists to support the majority religious group only. It is a source of injustice to all minorities, and even those within the religious group itself.
What needs to happen is that people need to be reconditioned and educated. Simply scaring people into not committing acts of violence doesn't erase the desire or the justification to commit them. Treat the problem at the source instead of trying to regulate it with religion.

No need to bring Islam into this, Islam teaches peace and harmony. A lot of people commenting In the video re Islamic laws aren't themselves well aware of the Islamic laws to begin with; no point in nitpicking! In a country like Pakistan, laws alone won't do any good. A lot of people are bent on the safarashi nizaam & they are happy in living within such a framework. Now If a body raises their voice they are silenced by a Ministry or others opposing.
