Re: Who's the Bride???
I guess this is the kind of thing that one can only understand once they are already married.....

Re: Who's the Bride???
^ Yup!
Re: Who’s the Bride???
thats a bit patronising… ![]()
i’m sure you married ladies had just as many fears/stresses that were just as valid to you in the days leading up to your weddings. perhaps we haven’t had the experience yet of being a bride, but it doesn’t make our experiences of getting there any less relevant.
Re: Who's the Bride???
^ I dont think its patronising as much as...like now that i'm already married, all the worries I had beforehand just seemed so silly and I've practically forgotten them...i'm sure everything will go perfectly fine, and afterwards you'll just look back and laugh at how crazy you were..it is natural to wrory, no matter how much control you have over hte entire function, but in the end ull just look back and laugh..I know I do and alot of us do that.
Re: Who's the Bride???
i am not crazy, thank you very much, miss! :P :P :P
Re: Who's the Bride???
Honey, ALLLLLLLL brides-to-be are crazy! Most of us have just blocked out our crazy days :D
Re: Who's the Bride???
yaar sara, come on, brides ko bura naam na do :P
remember your pre-wedding days
apart from spazzing about my clothes, now that the cake situation has been resolved and i know i won't see any brides in their wedding clothes, i'm a nice, happy bride-to-be! :)
Re: Who’s the Bride???
I was very calm and collected. ![]()
Re: Who’s the Bride???
haha, yesh I had my amny crazy moments..but I dint vent about them very much, I think I did a good job of keeping quiet, so taht I’d never have to remember…
its normal to worry and go crazy over alot of things, esp wiht a wedding…And I remember i HATED when ppl called me bridezilla because I know I sure wasn’t, so yes I take back the “bridezilla” comment I made to everyone.. ![]()
Re: Who’s the Bride???
Actually I didn’t have any of the fears or stresses that most brides-to-be have been discussing here.
Here is what I stressed about at my wedding:
making sure that there were enough funds to afford things without putting a burden on anyone.
making sure that my mother was well and not worried about anything.
moving away from my family after the wedding.
I didn’t
And that’s just a small list.
And no, the comment was not meant to be patronizing. It was to recognize all the married gals that are agreeing with my view.
Re: Who's the Bride???
could it be that you don't relate to our perspective/concerns because you didn't really plan your own wedding? or at least it sounds like you didn't. but good for you for being so laid back and chill about the whole process. i don't know how brides do that! :)
Re: Who's the Bride???
No. Can't be.
I was consulted in every process. I just chose to put my trust in other people. It's easy to do it....as long as you believe that the people around you are thinking in your best interest and know you well to be able to make decisions for you.
Maybe I was more focused on other things....like what life would be like after that ONE day.

Would love to seem them.
Re: Who's the Bride???
i trust my family wth my life, by not letting them plan my wedding and it's details doesn't mean i don't trust them, just that i like to do things for myself... i like to think i am relatively intelligent and can handle making decisions myself, especially when it comes to my big day!!!
