Wife and kids are coming back on Thursday. 24 hours long flight? This is what I want to make for them
will that be good variety for their taste buds so no matter what they feel like eating, its all covered. Maybe I should add some kind of pasta variety for the kids

If they have been to India/Pak then the kids can definitely use some mac n' cheese.

Thats more than enough food there, and yes if your children like pasta, make it.

My longest journey was my pretty recent one. Los Angeles to Dubai direct.. 14 something hours… and the first thing I ate after landing in Dubai was Burger King ka whopper meal:jano:

Yaar, they mabe tired and my not want to go out. Mac n cheese is a great idea for kids
Maraoush I know my wife. After a log journey, she feels like eating white rice and patleee daal. No fatty. spicy stuff for her.
They are not too keen about dessert, maybe I should buy chocolate flavor Haagen daaz for them

I can guarantee you that she will not want whopper at that time plus we dont get halal whopper here.

tlk you forgot one thing in ur list ........ thats CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI - TEA , wifey would need tea if she is fond of tea. for kids, milkshake ll be good. do not give anything to eat with tea n milkshake or it ll kill their hunger.
in dinner or lunch you can make something like bhunna chicken ( i m not fond of other gosht) with naan n salad. I think thats it. do not over do as usually u dont feel like eating too much after long journey.

I wont to keep some variety in front of them plus I want to have enough food so she does not need to cook for at least 2 more meals. AFter that, I am sure she would be ready to take over the kitchen.
She is not fond of chai but if she felt like, I can fix a cup for her in a minute.

I got to say TLK I'm impressed, I read somewhere the other day stressed back woulds spells desserts and after a 24 hour journey they definitely gonna be stressed so what ever u do don't forget the Desserts
that’s so sweet. That’s a lot of stuff for you to make. My husband ordered pizza after my journey. He hates cooking

CA, after I come back from long journey, even I enjoy Daal Chawal and Salad and Achaar. As at least during the journey, I am eating Airport food, and I am really missing simple homemade food.

Order take out, unless they went on vacation where desi food was not avilable, take out from a favorite local place would be much better.

No no belle, that is the point. 90 % of the people feel like eating home made food after being away for so long.
