Re: what do u think abt this name?
awww Ayescha...I'll reply!
Have to be honest but it is a bit far out there in terms of what people normally choose.
It's not something I would personally go for. Why not an Arabic name?
cuz i want to have an unusual name something which the most people haven't heard before
not like my name, i think there is an ayesha in every family
Re: what do u think abt this name?
I think that when you tell the name of a person, people should get a slight idea of the origin/background of that person just from the name. Is Kanisha taking care of that aspect? And btw, what language is that?
Re: what do u think abt this name?
Kanisha reminds me of a hefty black woman NOT to be messed around with. It would be odd if your child was fair skinned :S
You can get unusual sounding names in Arabic as well.
Its an unusual name, but has a nice sound to it. Of course as you said, it goes well with your name.
Not so sure which meaning you would attribute to it though? Also get some background/history on it too.
Re: what do u think abt this name?
when i think of that name it makes me want to snap my fingers wave my head side to side and say: no you didnt!
Re: what do u think abt this name?
Damn right girlfrayyynd, mmhm.
Re: what do u think abt this name?
My only concern is that there doesn't seem to be a clear and reliable meaning. In addition, I personally don't like names for girls that emphasize physical qualities.
Re: what do u think abt this name?
honestly ... the name conjures up images of overly perfumed, jangly braceleted and extremely loud woman from "da hood"
....
there are other unique islamic names out there with less "bagagge" and lovely meaning ....
when i think of that name it makes me want to snap my fingers wave my head side to side and say: no you didnt!
bwahahahahhahaha! OMG!
kanisha is... yeah, its like shaniqua or shaquanda.
there are lots of pretty and unusual names out there with GOOD meanings.
what about Arianna? it is greek and it means very holy.
Amaya is japanese and means night rain.
Amani means security/trust and is persian.
you don't have to choose arabic if you don't want to- just choose something which, like someone else here said, has a clear meaning.
Re: what do u think abt this name?
Agreed. Im fond neither of the name, nor of its meaning

Girl....if you want an unusual name.......then forget Kaneesha!
Instead......
try....
ShaNAYNAY
Hmmm…on a more serious note…
In my opinion, if someone lived in Pak…and was named Kanisha…it would seem more unique/exotic/different to the people living there.
However…to desis living in the US…and who are familiar with names that are commonly used in the African American culture…would tend to think that the name sounds black.
But it’s up to you. The most important thing is that the name you choose have a positive meaning. If you like it, go for it. If you’re feeling hesitant…then you can explore some more names. If you like names with** “isha/eesha/sha”** at the end…then you can look into other similar options.
For example:
Arisha…means highness (I know a Muslim woman by that name)
Aryisha… under tree/umbrella
Alisheh.…noble (my cousin has this name)
Arissa…means bright
Firasha…butterfly in Arabic (knew someone by this name)
etc…etc.
I got the names from this website: Muslim Girl Names
I have doubts about the meanings listed for some of the names. Because some of the names have multiple meanings that are so different from one another. So, it’s good to double-check.
Some names that I thought were unique/interesting from this website:
Amaya (night rain)…I love rain, so I think this name is pretty
Ayana (lucky)
Alaia (virtuous)
Lamisa (soft)
Lujaina (silver)
Re: what do u think abt this name?
Arshia is also pretty
Re: what do u think abt this name?
Honest answer: It sounds terrible. Sorry.
Re: what do u think abt this name?
not sure abou the name, I agree with what is said above that if you live in Northamerica or even UK wagerah tu no.
I saw some very unique and interesting names up there. I just had a niece they named her huda(from hidayat), here are few more:
Inaya(Blessing)
Nooha/Nuha(lucky I think) this is my niece's name
Sireen(calm)
Hope you find a good name that clicks! God luck
