Orange Line is a project b/w Punjab Govt & Chinese Bank in the form of soft loan. Both western and eastern routes are equally important as eastern route will pass through industrial hubs of Punjab & Sindh therefore connecting it with Gwadar Port for future inbound/outbound logistics apart from Karachi Port. Western route is mainly for China related supply chain and in future may be used for Central Asia/Afghanistan transit facility
