Hi guys…i’ve been reading the wedding thread for a few days now and you guys seem really knowledgeable and helpful…i was wondering if you guys can help me out…
We live in the Los Angeles area and my sister is getting married (IA)…We are looking for good makeup artists, mehndi artists, photography, clothes, jewelry etc…so far we are not having much luck in finding things…I hope you guys can help…we will realllly appreciate it

aa creation is actually really good too. i have friends that have gone to him.
try mirage and kashish in artesia. theyre the pakistani boutiques there and have amazing stuff. depends on where u live in socal because alot of women are working from home with clothes and even really nice articifial jewellry, so u can try them as well.
if ur also looking for pakistani style jewellry, try shalimar jewellers in artesia, they're stuff is nice. also kiran jewellers, they're stuff is expensive but to die for
for make up artists- go to oscar at ziba's salon, hes amazing but expensive.
try a couple different girls from mac.
I will definitly be checking out mirage, kashish and the jewelry stores u recommended....so far i only know of 1 lady in Los Angeles that sells pakistani clothes but her selection is limited....do you know of any ladies that sell clothes out of thier homes? we live in the inland empire area ....

that would be awesome if u can give me some names of the aunties selling clothes as we're not planning on going to pakistan for shopping but i dont have enough posts to send you a private message yet..
i've tried googling for event planners, makeup artists, etc but i haven't had much luck.....i'm hopping to hear from people on gupshup that have any personal experiences....

Jesse my makeup artist is the BEST makeup artist i’ve ever had in my life. he is amazing and can do anything you want he takes so much time and is a perfectionist. i love him and he’s done a lot of my friends after he did my valima makeup. you can pm me and ill send you his details.

for clothes: i don’t like any place in artesia or anywhere in southern california for that matter. i would contact designers in pakistan and work with them. a lot of them are willing to do consultations etc via email/phone/etc. i do know that yasmeens in artesia works with faiza samee.
also the best wedding coordinator/designer for any budget is saadia kibriya. you can tell her pakifairy referred you to her. she did my valima decor. you can pm me for her details too.
