Years of experience helping people such as yourself man, what can i say.
Thank you for acknowledging the wisdom.

Re: walima halal kurna...

What's with asking question (walima halal kiya kai nuhi?)

And whatever happened to that nice and classy ritual of Groom's mother showing off the blood stained bed sheet to the relatives, the very next morning of "Suhaag Raat" to proove the walima has been halaled. It was dont ask dont tell philosophy. Well more like Show and tell philosophy

Are we loosing every decent aspect of our culture

Ooof, hum kahaN jaa rahay HaiN

Re: walima halal kurna...

Well, I guess....I said too much. These days are by us...not others out there. Lets change customs that are kinda embaressing. I believe its the personal matter of a couple. Some waits for the moment, others go as planned. Timing is everything. Allahjee sub ka pardah rakhay.....

Re: walima halal kurna...

Actually i don't think that was ever a desi tradition, rather it existed in middle eastern/european countries..

Re: walima halal kurna...

^^ Sara, that was a joke. Tradition is/was more Pushtoon, and maybe middle eastern, as you mentoined

Re: walima halal kurna…

I hope this tradition is no longer there in my susraal-to-be

Re: walima halal kurna…

u being terrified on this kinda raisin many questions in my mind

Re: walima halal kurna…

:smack:

I did not mean wht YOU are thinking, I meant its kinda embarrasing

Re: walima halal kurna...

^^ Well the story goes that Pathans enetered the Hujra-e-Uroosi with a loaded gun. If in the morning, they dont see blood stains on the sheet (for the reasons that were raising questions in EMM's mind) , they use the gun to create those stains. Ouch..

Re: walima halal kurna…

Re: walima halal kurna...

Yeh Yeh I knw wht u were on about, If God forbid there was SUCH case I wudve taken something with me to make it real :p

Re: walima halal kurna...

no one is giving advices based on islamic point of view everyone is telling wot he/she thinks is right jahan tak i know there is sum point related to islam its not just abt wot we feel or how we want it

Re: walima halal kurna…

That asks for another thread, right EMM. You should start, titled

“Can a girl be innocent, hence the sheet on her wedding night remained unstained.”

Re: walima halal kurna...

yeah i heard that the guy was told to light a candle in the window if the wife was a virgin ... or shoot her if she was not.

so 30 minutes later he lights a candle.

an hour later he shoots her..

sigh

Re: walima halal kurna...

An hour later ?? man, what a stud

Re: walima halal kurna...

If you are referring to the link between Walima being Halal & Islam, I was talking from Islamic point of view. I have not come across anything which states that it is a 'must' on the first night OR that the Walima will not be considered halal if nothing is done on first night.

Re: walima halal kurna…

as I suspected :stuck_out_tongue:
