She said material comforts not needs. Ok, we go by word materialistic and its definiton “excessively concerned with material possessions; money-oriented” seems inline with being material hungry.
imagine situation of a relation where a husband fulfills her needs but unable fulfill her materialistic dreams while dont want her do a job and she persist on doing a job he doesn’t like.
The reason I came up with the comment is such justification for the urge of running after material comforts even at cost of damaging relationship is comming from a person who just a couple of post earlier was giving us lectures on how holy prophet controled himself all his life, disregarding how simple life style of holy prophet in entire life was.
That was pick n choose, hypocrisy. You people know nothing beyond justification for you own shortcommings and one liner “dont judge others”

Not sure why you are making a comparison here. Indian men are at least as misogynistic and backward if not more than the Pakistani men, and we all know their reputation for committing rapes. India is not a safe country for women in any means.

Actually keeping current problems in mind these people think Pakistan was a bad idea… I am a regular reader of indian newspapers and there hardly a week goes by when i do not read about hindu-Muslim riots …which goes to show that there would have been a violent power struggle between hindus n Muslims in united India in the absence of brits…which would have triggered a far greater violence n would have consumed us Muslims and even hindus more than what they experienced in 47. I would say every country has problems and problems do not make any country “a bad idea”.

You speak of Pakistan not being ready for Islam, but it starts at the individual level, right? Where in Islam is it encouraged to accuse someone (of domestic violence or whatever) without proof? Unfortunately some Pakistanis think that by dissing Pakistan, they would get brownie points from Indians. This Pakistani guy I knew once did the same in front of some mutual Indian friends. After he left, the Indian guys laughed at him and said, “if someone isn’t loyal to their own country, how can they be loyal to anyone else.” Moral of the story is that people are not foolish and see through such opportunistic fluff.
