You consider it enchantment because I don’t shy away from talking about it. Why would I? Majority of women who don’t leave bad marriages stay because they are fearful of what lies ahead. I will never be the one to say it sucks. Because it doesn’t. I don’t want a woman to read my posts and think if she leaves her crappy situation that her life will end. It. Will. Not.

Some divorced ladies I know of, both Muslim and non-Muslim, rue the day they started hanging out with folks having such views regarding divorce.

I am not comparing Pakistani men to Indian men at all. I just think Pakistani men are not civilized enough to have a country of their own yet…let alone an Islamic one.

Then these “ladies” you speak of…their marriages were so weak, a few outsiders were able to break them? That’s a failure on their part and has nothing to do with anyone else. I don’t talk about my marriage with anyone, not even my prior marriage and you’re not supposed to.

You can’t blame poor judgment and weakness of faith on others. Those are your own responsibilities.,

No, they had responsibilities towards their husbands first and foremost which they neglected. They were responsible for their marriages which they ruined with their own hands. That was their priority.

Hmmm…I’ve actually gone to class, made breakfast and lunch for husband and kiddo, made a separate one for me, worked out, done two loads of laundry, grocery shopped and gave my kid a bath all before 3pm. I work in the evenings. So much for knowing diddly squat about me.

And let’s say I am twice your age…so what? Your parents don’t watch TV or do much outside of eating roti chawal? Sorry if that’s your life but not everyone’s is like that.
