I can tell by their dress at least they are pukka Pakistanis and also I can you use my brain to compare their actions to the ones they have taken in NWFP/FATA. Also, I know you need a strong ideology to do this type of an attack and this ideology is only taught in jihadi madrassahs and camps of Pakistan.

Kidnapping for ransom, which these thugs were going for, is a tried and tested Taliban policy in NWFP/FATA, so no surprise they would also try this in Punjab.

Looking at the dress you can figure out the nationality and the ideology behind their actions.

It is a sad fact that instead of focussing on catching the actual culprits and trying to take corrective action everyone involved is blaming the RAW. For that matter the blame game is yet to happen..
Some action should be taken against those responsible for sanitising the route.
How come there was no back up. The fight took place for around 30 mins. Why did not reinforcements arrive. How did the terrorists manage to escape. Why was the initial investigations so shoddy. These are the questions that should be on everybody's minds. But that is not to be. Everybody is chasing shadows...
Looks like some of them are Pakistanis after all !!! … Though the report does not say that this guy is a Pakistani … but i would be brave enough to guess that someone running a bussiness in Lahore COULD be one …

The lahore police commisioner has accepted the "security lapse" from his boys .... guess he was left with no option ....... when someone like Musharaf was taking pot shots at the police force ....
He (Mushy) was appalled that the police could not take even one terrorist down .... he said it should have taken the elite force "3 seconds" to do that job ..... he was highly critical of the "elite forces" !!!!!!!!

I guess they used up all the smart terrorists in Mumbai and the Dumb one were left to do the Lahore job. Couldn't even realize the difference between Indians and Sri Lankans!

Pur police is only gud to be puppets of Politicians, nothing Else... All of us knew that india is gona do something, so Y was tehre police , there should be Rangers or atleaset Elite Force.

The Police Commissioner for Lahore, Khusro Pervez, acknowledges that backup failed to arrive.

“The gunmen were meant to be combated by backup police support, which didn’t arrive,” he said, “and the vehicles used for escorting the Sri Lankan convoy were not adequate.”
Saleem Shahzad of Asia Times has this report that the attack was done by "Punjabi Taliban" with the goal of abducting the Srilankan team and then demanding their comrades's releases. That is why the rockets and bullets were targetted at the drivers and the security detail. The bus was fired on, when the driver decided to drive away. **The plan was to demand release of Lashkar militants and other Punjabi Taliban prisoners held in Swat. As per swat deal, the local Taliban are to be released soon but the Punjabi Taliban are left in cold. **The attackers were prepared for a long standoff (like Mumbai) and after the release, they were supposed to go to the emirates of Waziristan.
Once the bus was able to get away, the attackers had to abondon their plans. Another report stated that the route for the bus convoy was changed at the last minute. The security detail was told of a threat to the original route by a phone call to trick them to take the alternate route.
These are not official reports yet but makes sense.
Now this makes a lot of sense to me...
If true then we are done in for a few months if not years atleast given that all 12-14 of these barbaric murderers are still at large (god knows how many more of such deranged minds are out there!!)

The Mumbai attacks were blamed on the lashkar e taiba ..... this stand has been vindicated by actions taken by Pakistan government ....
Now as for involvement of RAW in Lahore attack .... so far the indications from Pakistan is NOT pointing towards that ... though some people desperately want to show it otherwise .... number of people in press and the statements by governor of Punjab point towards a "home grown" link. I have posted the link from Daily news which shows as the "mastermind" being from Lahore itself ... now how far that is true i don't know only time will tell..... some points for you to ponder on what is being said about these attacks

Firstly, no need to give him so much izzat, even if hes on your country's payroll, considering servants dont need to be given so much pyar.
Secondly, Miss Altaf Hussain also said that the creation of Pakistan was the greatest blunder in the history of mankind, and he said that in... INDIA!
Lastly, taking the first two into account, you honestly expect us to believe that creature? Infact, if anything the opposite of what he says is usually true, so thank you for convincing us, yes India is involved.
