5 policemen killed and 4 players injured when motorcyclists attacked the cricket team&their security squad early morning today at main chawk liberty.
There are news/rumours as if some srilankan cricketers have been killed in the attack...i hope not!!!

Also it is sad that these cowards have decided to attack the cricketers. If this tour had gone on fine, it would have opened the way for more sporting tours in the future. Now every country is going to think twice before sending its sportsment to Pakistan. Very sad indeed.

i am so depressed ,i think pakistan is done playing at least on the home ground for a long long time.

whatever...it was the responsibility of the great salman taseer...greatest administrator punjab has seen in its history to provide security to the only team which was visting pakistan...nothing happened in karachi...and the attack took place in lahore...it could be the work of the agencies/raw as they can benefit from this...but overall pakistan's image worldwide will be shattered and the teams which have refused to play in pakistan have been proven to be right...it will take years now for the confidence in pakistan's safety to return...

Now this is the exact reason, India is behind this attack, India decided not to visit Pakistan and tried to pressurized Srilanka to follow the suit, but, when Srilankan decided to carry on, this is how Indian reacted... if the world have to live in peace, somebody have to teach India a good lesson.

about 12-15 people took part in this attack...two bombs were thrown towards the bus...and then firing started...our security could do nothing...conspiracy theories aside, i believe it was a security lapse...had the security been better the attack could have been avoided...imagine a main business center of lahore...and in broad daylight an attack takes place...and i am sure the attackers stayed in their positions for 15-20 minutes...and our adminstration could do nothing...i just hope that no player sustains casuality from this event...
