Shaping The Eyebrows

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

I just did my eyebrows and they look hot:roman:

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

If plucking the eye brow is haraam because it beautifies, then we should also conclude removing facial hair, for those who have it, as haraam for women.

Imagine growing a moustache will be the trend of 2008!

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

Doesnt make any logical sense, it is like saying you cant have a beefburger from Mcdonalds becoz its not halal but only when you feel hungry you can eat the chickenburger then it is!

I wouldn't shape them , just go for a wax, tweezer or threading....makes it permissible and not haram

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

Abdul azeez bin baz did not even live during the times of the prophet, then how can u even consider this as authentic! i am baffled

Its a fatwa of one man , not the sunnah of the prophet sawa

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

it really doesnt make any sense for the shaping of the eyebrows to be haram. if this is haram, then so should cutting your hair or getting layers..thats changing the hair, rite?? dying hair should be haram too. getting the upper lips done should be too and cutting our nails should also be haram.
seriously, why would the Prophet (SAW) say that? its prolly just a made-up hadith u guys r all quoting. i mean, cursing the women who wants to look good?? i've heard a hadith that says that the Prophet (SAW) said that its mustahab for women to wear gold and jewelry..so why cant they do their eyebrows??
ppl from other religions would prolly think that muslim women dont groom or maintain themselves and they r unclean and hairy. i dont think any muslim women would want to portray that abt herself..

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

:hmmm: i havent done mine yet. ALHUMDULLAH.

once i tried to pluck but :frusty2: its hurts like hell

hawt and lanat* :cb:

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

shouldn’t Allah be the judge to decide who gets lanat or not

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

What if your eyebrows are already shaped? Will you be punished?

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

i find it interesting how some women dont pray 5 times a day, dont wear hijab (or take it off when it's convenient), backbite, show off etc etc etc...............

yet they are sooooo concerned about not only their eyebrows but the eyebrows of other women!!

if a muslimah is doing everything from praying to covering and everything in b/w.....then and only then can i understand her concern about the brows.

til then.......let Allah (SWT) pass judgement!!!!

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

aray yaar i was joking but i think you want to have serious discussion so…

i related to what pinks mentioned! she gave reference of hadith.

but my concerns are difference that how you describe hot, and what is the purpose of transforming something thing that makes its attractive?
and how you differ the idea of “lanat” from “hot”?

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

i dont know whom you are referring to, but no one is perfect except ALLAH SWT. these things "asking questions" is considered as knowledge.
if someone is bad doesn't mean they shouldn't seek knowledge. in fact seeking knowledge is a never ending process.
you never know what thing transforms us and take us to our destiny for which we are made for!

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

Wth is up with these girls who wear tight ass stuff, wear pounds of makeup but get all anal about eyebrows and walk around with that freakin caterpillar on their face. GROSS!

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

.

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

zobia i wasnt referring to anyone here....as I dont know who here is steadfast in their prayer or who covers.

It was a general statement i posted in reference to those women who dont even pray, fast or cover etc etc yet have the audacity to tell others that they are sinning by shaping their brows. :)

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

even in the cases of praying five times a day and covering head wont gonna reveal who is pious and who is not.

but i dont get it, why cant they ask any question, or tell others not to do so?

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

who said anything about not being able to ask questions? i never said that :)

there is nothing wrong with asking questions ...it's when you start judging people that it becomes unacceptable. There is a gentle way of telling someone that what they are doing is wrong without passing judgement because like you said yourself no one is perfect.

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

  1. A women should cover her beauty for her husband.
  2. She is allowed to trim her brows, ofcourse she is!
  3. the catch? The beauty is for the husband alone, and other females.

So the premise here is the covering herself up for her hubby, before even reaching the brows. THats where ullema drive their fatwas from.

It is permissible, but look at the condition before it.

If the dont do it, no one is to judge, its up to them...but thats the reasoning most widely used.

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

THANK YOU!!!!

cover first (because covering is important in Islam)...then worry about the brows. For one to show the world her hair and the shape of her body yet is concerned about her brows or the brows of another? doesnt make sense!

to state a fact is one thing (ie pointing out a hadith or an ayah etc) but to judge another for not doing something or saying they are going to hell for it is not right.

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

ppl already answered so i have to edit my lamba sa post

Re: Shaping The Eyebrows

just asking (coz A_E said wer'e allowed to :D)... u say that beauty is only for the husband, so say a woman observes niqab, then are you saying she is allowed to go against the hadith at hand? that she is allowed to artificially widen the gap b/w her teeth, pluck her eye brows and tatoo her face w/o the whole thing of getting laanut?
