Sachin has scored a century every 9 games and all the other listed players have a much higher number which shows that Sachin scores more prolifically than the others, and that too after having played more games than any other player on this list.
Also interesting to note that the higher the winning percentage, the more games its taken to score a century. Tells you a lot doesn’t it ?
I suggest you go and check Zaheer Abbas and Hashim Amla :), I suggest that makes them better Batsman than tendulkar.
Point is, This thread is devoted to Sachin scoring tons and losing the game.... Not denying anything that he owns, He achieved what people wont even dream of achieving *so u dont need to defend how many centuries he scored.... we r talking abt how often does he lose after scoring a ton. They played 62 & 42 ODIs repectively. Thats not statistically significant. Once they play the number of games that players on this list have played, then it might be worthwhile to add them to the mix.

Stick to the topic or create new thread where we can discuss SACHIN'S CLASS and we can discuss how we cant imagine anyone even getting close to what sachin achieved.

Dont Compare Tendulkar scoring 100 and winning a match with Tendulkar Scoring 100 and loosing the match. Offcourse You are supposed to win more matches when u score a 100 or take 5 wickets or score a double ton in test match.

So you are in agreement with me that the statement "sachin scored a 100 means india win lose" is ILLOGICAL since India wins 69% of the time SRT scores a 100. Cheers!
The differnce of 10% compared to other players .... IMO it's because of lack of support from other indian batters and weak indian bowling.
This is dumb… even if sachin scored 1000 hundreds and won only one game i will still be wrong i beleive this. rest i have already agreed upon in very same thread.

Does Sachin scoring a century means India loses the match - the answer is no, since India has won 70% of the games that Sachin has scored a century in. End of discussion !!
Now, if you bring in comparison with other players then it makes sense to point out that the comparison is like apples to oranges for the reasons mentioned before. Capiche ??
The topic of the thread was about busting the myth that “Sachin tons don’t win games”. That myth has been busted since India has won 69% of the games where Sachin has scored a ton.
In my 8-10 posts so far i have never claimed sachin plays for himself only or he is selfish player… I only balimed indian bowling for the matches they didnt win after sachin’s tons. Blame probably goes to other batsman as well but one person who doesnt get the blame is sachin himself.
He has achieved everything a batsman cud dream off… Soon he will score a triple or probably 400 in test and his wish list will be complete.

But cricket is a team game. I think it is more reflective of the quality of indian bowling. Viv had the support of the fearsome quartet - Marshal, Holding, Garner & Roberts, and later on Walsh & Ambrose. If Sachin had played in an indian team boasting the likes of Windies quartet, Imran, Hadlee, the two W's, Donald, Lillee, McGrath, Warne or Murali, I am sure his win %age w'd be much higher than 68.75%
And why do we need a second thread to debate the same thing?

I cant agree more with you, but just to show that luck does have little bit impact when sachin scores a ton..... We can compare Sachin with Sourav both have same team backing them up.

Yep Sachin isnt Selfish...... His Bad luck and playing for India are reasons behind this.
My argument is ....that data provided in thread opener compares tendulkars satistics with his statistics which isnt sufficient to proof something.... IF you wana prove Tendulkar compare him with other players. Or agree that yes for whatever XYZ reason he did lose more often compared to other players.
First** Player wanted me to compare sachin's percentage with Jayawardene and then he didnt like it so **he got me a list of players assuming i wont be able to collect the data and when i did bring the data he put it aside saying Tendulkar has better rate of scoring 100's. I mean if u think the data i collected means nuthing why wud u even ask for it and if u did ask for it then do agree with me that he doesnt enjoy winning bites after scoring a 100 as often as other players do. Y ... well we have number of reasons but we can discuss em when Player does agree that other players are better at winning games after scoring 100 :).
