I dont think that is the case just because in pakistan its not done that openly it doesnt mean that the people involved are not serious about it and are in it for fun. If that was the case we wouldnt have so many love marriages here. In west, i do agree with you that say 60% of the pakistani who date do it for the intention of marrying but i suppose the other 40% thinks like their gora friends and date for fun without thinking about commitement.

Dates are great. They are so sweet. Usually eaten after you open your fast (roza).

I just came back from a date with my wife. Though both of us didn't use to date before marriage, but now very frequently we go out on a date. Alhamdulillah.

p.s. After learning the meaning of dating, I hope I haven't written anything wrong.

@Lussi: Ever had a "Date Shake"? I had it in Lahore a year or so ago. OMG its so heavy and thick. You won't eat anything for next two days. you will not beleive how GOOD it is either!
My cuz had "Shahtoot ka juice" (anyone care to translate?). Another unique thing I tried that day
