I like date cake... it is one of the yumiest cakes i have ever had...
@Lussi: Ever had a "Date Shake"? I had it in Lahore a year or so ago. OMG its so heavy and thick. You won't eat anything for next two days. you will not beleive how GOOD it is either!
My cuz had "Shahtoot ka juice" (anyone care to translate?). Another unique thing I tried that day
ya I love date cake. I got nice recipe.
And the mix of date and milk which is required for the cake is absolutely yummy and thick like the date milkshake. I think one glass of that I wont eat anything the rest of the day.

my mom use to make best cakes ever. She use to make little ones too. And use put one in my bag every day.

i'd love to get cakes in my lunch box... but we were all about the healthy food and snacks. booo! nobody wants apple slices when you're 5! or kebab sandwiches either.
shay, lady, you HAVE to come over the summer - mom will be here all july and august iA - i've already started starving meself in anticipation of mom-food :p

lol! i remember the apples! and they would turn dark by the time lunch came around :( my mom started sprinkling chaat masala on them when i complained i didn't like them.. ooh joys of the first and second grade.. oh wait, she gave me apples slices till i was in 7th grade!

SGC, you know.. R’s mom still gives him a kebab/croissant sandwich with cookies for lunch every morning.. and this has happened all through his elementary till med school now.
