Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

A newlywed woman has been charged with murder after a poisoned milk drink she allegedly planned to give to her husband killed at least 15 members of her extended family.
Aasia Bibi, 21, was forced into an arranged marriage in September with Amjad Akram, 25.
Two months into the marriage in Pakistan, she tried to flee to her parents’ house, but they forcibly took her back.

Bibi then allegedly poisoned a glass of milk to murder her husband. After he refused to drink it, her mother-in-law used it to make a batch of Lassi and served it to 27 members of the family.

A total of 15 people died while 12 others are reportedly still in critical condition. Bibi then allegedly poisoned a glass of milk to murder her husband. After he refused to drink it, her mother-in-law used it to make a batch of Lassi and served it to 27 members of the family.
The exact number of deaths and whether it includes children is disputed.
A senior police officer said: "Aasia was forced to marry Amjad against her will.

"She was not happy and came back to her parents house after a few days into marriage but her family forcibly sent her back to her in-laws’ house.
"Aasia concocted the plot to avenge being married against her will and was provided with poisonous substance by her alleged lover, Shahid Lashari.
"But the plot went awry when Aasia’s husband did not drink the glass of milk she handed to him.
“Instead, her mother-in-law used the tainted milk to make Lassi.”

Bibi reportedly first claimed that a lizard had fallen into the milk, poisoning it.
“But she confessed her role in the custody,” said police.
Police have arrested Bibi, her lover and her aunt, who are suspected to have a role in the incident.

The incident took place in the Daulat Paur area in Muzaffargarh in the southwestern Punjab province of Pakistan.
Bibi has denied the allegations to reporters, claiming her lover gave her the poison and she did not use it, and that she also refused to marry him.
According to cases reported to the UK’s Forced Marriage Unit in 2016, Pakistan has the highest number of forced marriages, and there is little recourse for women who are married against their will.

I don’t feel sorry for her husband or any relatives that were involved in forcing her into the marriage.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members

wow, thats really a tragic.

Ironically our OP doesnt feel sorry for the 15 deceased whereas I think taking life is the worse thing ever in this world and she did the worse. Whatever the husband and family were doing was despicable by all means. But killing them? Eeek..

Meanwhile it looks like a relationship issue so why not we move it there.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members

I totally agree to this..

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

You have to be mentally ill to gloat over the murder of 15 people.

Unsurprisingly many desi feminists on Twitter are supporting this woman.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

How many of the 15 were children that may have drank that lassi?!

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members

She should be given Capital punishment … lives are precise.. killing is killing, no excuse whatsoever.
And husband’s family plus her own family should also be booked under marriage laws..

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

Desi feminism is another branch of terrorism..

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

She completely ruined her deen and dounia. What she did is unbelievable!! Fine you were not happy in the first place but you did marry into the family, you’ve accepted them deal with it. If she was so headstrong against them she should have not agreed.

Yes forced marriages are wrong but so is murder. She could have dealt with this some other way. Murder is no solution. What exactly was she expecting to kill her husband and then marry that other guy and live happily ever after?? Shocking.

What happened to her is awful, parents should not force thier children into marriages. However the way she chose to go about dealing with things is incredibly disturbing and horrible. Arguably there are only a few situations where murder is justified. This definitely is not one of them.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

Meanwhile, a lil different topic, but if this can make someone happy..

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

Apparently it’s now at least 17 people that died. She herself has expressed remorse over the deaths as she only targeted the husband.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

Me: I don’t feel sorry for her husband or **any relatives that were involved in forcing her into the marriage.
**Y’all, with amazing reading comprehension skills: “OP is gloating of the killing of innocents that had nothing to do with the forced marriage!!!111”

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

How can any killing be justified by SHE WAS NOT HAPPY?
Her parents forced her into this marriage, but how smart , she didnt kill her parents?
Lack of education in pakistan has spifflicated everything.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

You’re a psycopath for supporting any kind of murder, also how is it her husbands fault? Y’all feminists act as if men have any say in a forced marriage, many men are forced into arranged marriages too.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

If you are such a pussy to get forced into an arranged marriage then you arent a man. Oh yeah this ugly old man really kicked and screamed when they forced married him to a beautiful 17 yr old…grow up string!!

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

Forced marriage is nothing but rape with the blessings of society and families. She will get punished for what she did.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

Awful :frowning:

I wonder why she didn’t leave.. Was she just not able to or she chose not to?

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

Absolutely wrong interpretation in red!! Noone said you are gloating.

And yes you clearly aint sorry for the killed ones. Its very similar to justifying whats a mini-massacre here.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

I don’t see what guy & his family did wrong in all this who got murdered by her at the end of the day, even though its her family who forced her into this marriage & didn’t marry her with the guy she liked/loved. I think that guy whom she got married to was a victim.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

Honor killings are a bit of a deterrent.

Re: Pakistani Bride Poisons 15 Family Members for forced marriage

She was forcibly taken back to husbands house, she had fled the place. At this point she was a victim of forcible confinement and rape. She intended to kill the husband and not the family. In the west if she had killed the husband it could be defended as self defence..
