Re: Pakistan vs India at Birmingham ICC Champions Trophy 4th June 2017
oh god…analysts making so much fun of pakistan lol. t we deserve it. we played like chicken. read this summary by jared
ok, let us review.
Pakistan came into the game with a silly theory that even when it worked as planned, it didn’t work. They dropped simple catches, bowled tripe, mis-fielded simple balls, and tried poor strategies on the fly. Their big bad fast bowler was just bad, their in-form bowler hobbled off the park because he’s unfit, they dented the confidence of their frugal spinner, their selections didn’t make cricket sense, two key players were missing because of corruption, they couldn’t run between the wickets, their batting’s only consistency was slowness of running and scoring, when they played an attacking shot it was inevitably stupid and risky, the batting line up lacked pretty much everything a semi-competent XI would have, and the highlight of their match was the bits where they got lucky wickets or the ball was lost.
Playing Pakistan in this form is having a bye. Bye, Pakistan, bye.
Re: Pakistan vs India at Birmingham ICC Champions Trophy 4th June 2017
yaar he is not that good under pressure. maybe he will learn with time. anyway, his bowling changes and field placings were not that good. Plus he looks too angry in the field and does not look skipper material. anyway, I never liked him from day 1 and always opposed him when he was appointed a skipper. he is a brave played but does not look captain material.
*Pakistan do not bat well, their best chance was to take wickets, and their leading wicket-taker since the last World Cup is Hasan Ali, who takes a wicket every 26 balls. To celebrate that fact, he came on in the ninth over!
Even with Mohammad Amir bowling well, Sarfraz took out the second slip, and an edge went past the solitary wide slip. There was another edge, a top-edged hook that would have been caught at fine leg if they had a fine leg, making you wonder why Amir was trying the bouncer in the first place.
wahab was overbowled. hafeez was not tried at all.*****

T
That is it. shukar karo, India is not playing against us. never understood these idiots sheryar and najam sethti who are dying to play against india. our team is a joke these days and we would have lost so badly
Re: Pakistan vs India at Birmingham ICC Champions Trophy 4th June 2017
Ask Mik Arthur to bend down and then kick his arse to throw him out. he is horrible strategically.
he admitted he selected wahab riaz. i mean come on. if you understand cricket, you would have never selected this idiot wahab ever let alone in a pressure match. what was arthur thinking?
Re: Pakistan vs India at Birmingham ICC Champions Trophy 4th June 2017
All those blaming Sarfraz for this loss, here is Pakistani squad:
***Azhar Ali, Ahmed Shehzad, Babar Azam, Mohd. Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed (C-WK), Imad Wasim, Mohd. Amir, Shadab Khan, Wahab Riaz, Fahim Ashraf and Hasan Ali
Now pick one player except Sarfraz and tell me that Pakistan would have won today had this guy be the captain.
And now my turn: I guarantee you that Pak would have lost today either way no matter whom you make captain.
Reason: This is ridiculously bad team. An aweful selection. This batting lineup cant even stay 50 overs complete, forget a win over India. I mean, comeon.
Re: Pakistan vs India at Birmingham ICC Champions Trophy 4th June 2017
Sarfaz is very good middle order player. Indian bowling is not better instead our batsmen’s legs were shaking. I have said it before, since our major problem after batting is fielding and bowling strategy, we need an aggressive better bowler as captain. Infact our strength is supposed to be bowling so a bowler should be captain. Remember wasim
Re: Pakistan vs India at Birmingham ICC Champions Trophy 4th June 2017
yes, pakistan would have lost it under any skipper but that is not enough to defend sarraz. maybe he is lerning and we shd give him time plus we have no one else in the team to lead anyway.
but yes he many stupid decisions. starting with a spinner imad in second over in england under rainy seamy conditions was criminal and he hsd be kicked in arse for that. anyway, many other weird bowling changes. plus his body language and facial expressions under pressure are always very negative
Re: Pakistan vs India at Birmingham ICC Champions Trophy 4th June 2017
I agree here, none of the player above can be picked…
This raises bigger concern, why they were picked!!! Why Inzi being a ideal Batsman himself cannot have same kind of batters in the team..
My objection is not team…it is pathetic, but it is why the hell Sarfaraz decided to field first!!! What was he thinking? I am sure that if 250 would have been the targerlt! Pakistan still have lost the match…
Any team leaking 100+ in last 6 or 7 overs should loose
Re: Pakistan vs India at Birmingham ICC Champions Trophy 4th June 2017
No i dont think any other lesser target woyld have helped Pakistan…their fate was sealed 1) they chose these team of certified failures
2) waleed started the thread…
But still what was he thinking by fielding 1st?
Had we batted 1st, we may have scored some 200+ and if lucky something in range of 250…and India woyld have chased it in 46 overs…guess what less embarrising…
Re: Pakistan vs India at Birmingham ICC Champions Trophy 4th June 2017
agreed… yes conditions were rainy and overcast but when you know that your team cannot chase anything north of 150 in a pressure match, why take the risk? just bat first, play first 10 over with ultimate care and try to put 250+ and see where it takes you.
guys i am saying it again and again, bigger culprit is this idiot Mikie arthur. he is horrible strategically. he does not understand the capacity of his team and makes stupid decisions. he is the one who selected wahab riaz, took faheem ashraf out. he is the one who would have made the strategic decision to bat first. I cannot believe that he was not involved in the decision of bringing imad in second over to bowl.
