Agreed. A good and sensible decision by IK. Pakistan does not want polarization on this key issue. It is duty of all Pakistanis to unite and support government and army on this.

Very simple answer , If Pakistan Army takes every party into confidence and give some specific time frame 1~2 weeks to vacant the place then how come Terrorists stay in their dens and wait for the army to come and hit them ? Even if Army didn't inform PM Nawaz then still I support Army decision as this operation was not a kid’s game.
It’s a time to support Army and stop giving any political statements as this is the best time to unite the nation, through these kind of statements people can get confuse and start argument with each other. I believe Imran is very honest & loyal with Pakistan among other politicians but at least on this issue, he should stay calm and advise the same to his ministers and workers else there will be frustration among people.

^ The onus is really on Pakistani holier than thou media to not turn these statements into petty commercialised debates and propaganda. Enough is enough. Media's propaganda wars have caused enough damage and divisions already.
I was shocked to see that on the day of operations, Najam Sethi dedicated more than half of his programme talking about Imran and how he won't support the operation. Pathetic display of political baiting and point scoring. I know the name Imran Khan sells papers and shows, but now is not the time for such commercial opportunism.

I'm sorry, but I'm unwilling to give him credit for it. After military operation started & other than JI every political party came to support the armed forces IK/PTI had little choice. Their options were to be with Taliban or support the military & they reluctantly started supporting the military operation. BTW, the difference between leader and demagogue is that leader leads & not follow. IK is anything but a leader...he is rabble rouser/demagogue.

It's quite clear that certain people only use Taliban as a smokescreen to justify extremely personal hatred and jealousy for public figures. I hope neutrals take a note of such morally duplicitous behaviour. But nice to see that you have found sudden support for Pakistan army. ;)

it was government responsibility to take pti or ik in confidence it not always necessary to make things public but they should have informed them bc kpk is going to suffer the most, they have to look for idp's 2 days phele budget sunaya they should have keot some money for them

if you think ik agreed just bc operation started you are wrong I already posted link plz check again in jan he already said k if armed forces start operation he will be standing wth army. even in ACP he said k peace talk those who are ready to throw weapons good and those who are not ready to do thi, go for operation against them.

and the link of this statement is the news, so we know how they will paint ik words, if you read other news paper like dunyia, express, they said ik agreed but he had reservation k why was not informed before.

If we were talking about Western democracies, this would’ve been a very valid point. In a country like Pakistan, the general public thinks intelligence sharing of highest order between civilian heads and military personnel means an open air press conference and next day media release. Pakistan neither has the political maturity nor any sophisticated political and diplomatic commands and procedures to allow the flow of information with utmost secrecy.

I don’t want to derail this discussion but tell me that how on earth if PM does not know about the Operation and he also got the news later, then how he inform PTI ? Have Federal Government refuse to Help KPK in refugees maters ? Do we afford to debate on this issue while our Army is fighting against killers ? If tomorrow Imran says “Army action was fare and Government helping us in refugees matter” then still you guys will say that Why Govt didn’t inform KPK ? My opinion was as a neutral person after looking the current phase in which we going through.
I agree even all parties political leaders and their workers don’t have political maturity every one’s wish is to see their leader PM of the Pakistan at any cost either its PML N , PPP or PTI.

So Imran Khan not supporting a military action was controversial and now Imran Khan supporting a military action has become even more controversial lol, proves how some people use certain points as an excuse to support their corrupt and incompetent leaders.
And Desert Birt if am not wrong is Nawaz Sharif supporter, same Sharif who was TOLD rather than ASKED about the action, he hardly cared about anything and whose own brother was pleading talibans not to attack Punjab as they have same ideology?
Less said about PPP, MQM & ANP fools the better as they couldn't launch this sort of action in their 5 years and you just wait till same hypocrites label our Army as Punjabi army holding them responsible for deaths of all innocent people.
