No, that means it is not bigotry, but a widely accepted norm across the world. Picking on only Muslims then shows bias. Condemn other cultures and demand stripping others of the same rights with the same intensity.

A majority belief and belief being bigoted are not mutually exclusive. It’s like you purposely ignore why Southie made this thread because last time I checked he isn’t painting Muslims with the same brush. He didn’t even claim most or all Muslims are bigoted, yet I still see this overreaction with people thinking that he did that. Last time I checked, he clearly condemned homophobes of other faiths in this very thread.

First of all, I never claimed to be a humanist so LOL at you for trying to use this “gotcha” against me. Second of all, if you actually stopped this little outrage spiel you have going on and actually read Southie’s posts you clearly see him denouncing other people from other religious groups who are homophobes. Third of all, quit the dramatics. I don’t care for homophobes and whatever way they express their homophobia but even I can see the difference between “I hate the sin but love the sinner” and whatever you and that other dude have going on when it comes to how you feel about gay and lesbian people.

The whole premise of this thread is based upon that if Muslims do not denounce the disgust for homophobia, they do not deserve safety nor security. Again, that would be political blackmail.

This is not some gora news channel that is discussing homophobia among Muslims to make themselves look superior, this is a predominantly Pakistani forum board where we shouldn’t shy away from discussing these type of issues. I see you still have your dramatic spiel going on. It is not “political blackmail” to mention that the logic that homophobic Muslims have can be turned back on them when other groups dehumanize them. It is acknowledging reality. You don’t see the irony in homophobic Muslims having disgust towards a generally innocent group but then getting angry at right-wing goray who don’t want Muslims in their countries who they feel “go against Western civilization” and compromise the safety of their nation?
