Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

so why you the do it?

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

In other threads, I read people saying oh most guys drink here, oh I just tasted wine just to see how it tastes, blah blah.

I merely asked the reason behind all this.

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

From my point of view, my parents sent me to mosque five days a week from 5-16 (although actually 14-16 was more of a weekend thing). Anyway, I had a good moral compass, but due to the crap going on in my household with my dads risthaydaar I rebelled, and rebelled hard. i didn’t give a shyte if I’m brutally honest, but I woke up one day and decided to repent. The rest as they say, is history!

As far as native Pakistanis being naik and Parveen, lol to that!:rotfl:

When I go back (which is at least once a year), you want alcohol, one phone call, 20 minutes to your door. Same with drugs. Want some sex, everything is available from loose girls from elite families to pakistani drama actresses who charge a fee. Don’t get me started on the gay holding hands bs. Then the backbiting, politics culture within families etc. people in glass houses…

Pakis are good at hiding what they do (heck my cousins are great at it in Pakistan, even uncles/mamus etc). Maulvi uncles are the worst!

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

Curious. Especially when I read people here saying oh so what if she had a past, she is all good now. Like she just broke a class and its ok. No big deal.

Like you guys brush it off so easily.

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

Wouldn’t it be better to ask that question to the person that said it and in the thread they did, instead of lumping all the Pakistanis living in US/UK together?

It is just like the non-muslims asking every muslim they come across: why are you a terrorist?

Get some perspective!

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

Since you are deriving it on the base of responses on GS, try to find the probability.

Out of how many posters in GS:

  • How may you think are living abroad
  • How many admitted there that they drank or slept with anyone etc?
  • Find a ratio of wut percentage it is out of total.

There, you have your answer. :chai:

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

Yeah but what proportion of people are doing it in UK/USA compared to Pakistan?
I knw not all are angels in Pakistan.
And well no need to explain yourself, like I said before I am sorry, I am not accusing any of you. You all are probably thousand times better than me.

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

Sorry I suck at math

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

OK

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

i mean, why do you do so many more sins than the wastern guppie who slip around?

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

Would you rather we stone them to death outside courthouses?

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

but how is your common sense?

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

For a minute, stop being defensive. Accept my apologies for offending you.
Then take a deep breath.
And answer my question. As simple as that. If you think my assumption (based on what I read here) is wrong, then say so.

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

I don’t think anyone is hating on you for asking the questions you have, I just gave you my own experience. Make of it what you will.

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

As bad as yours.

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

Sure, I received so much love for asking this lovely question.

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

You remind me of my phuppis. Making mountain out of a molehill. Twisting my words. Are you a liar by any chance?

Oh please dont stone them. This forum loves its members.

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

^ I meant lawyer.

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

I don’t think that people necessarily just brush it off, just that some might think there are more important things to worry about than if the other person is a virgin for example..

Personally I was always more worried about the things which would impact our marriage and day-to-day life or how well we’d work as a couple.. Looking around me I didn’t exactly see married couples falling out because one or both happened not to be virgins before marriage, it was more financial problems or issues with inlaws, things like that so I chose to give those more importance..

Re: Morals and \ethics of Pakistanis living abroad

Am not being defensive; am just pointing out the ridiculousness of the premise of your question.

Frankly, I don’t need to be defensive, since I do not ( and none in my family does ) indulge in any of the things you said.
