men going to parlours *bleugh*

the increasing trend of metrosexuals is in all honesty making me wana puke!!! i mean where are the days gone where beauty parlours/spas were a womans sanctuary, now u look back and the men arnt so far behind us!!! am i the only one that detests this habit which goes against nature??

if he goes for a shave and a hair cut that i can handle, even tho a barber would suffice.. even a trim of his ‘unibrow’ (poor guy) but facials, pedicures and manicures?? and it gets worse… CHEST WAXES?! i mean c’mon what happened to the good old days of men being… well.. MEN?! can i get an ‘I’ ladies? or am i walking the plank alone??

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

and you forgot to mention , men starting to wear all sort of jewellery … I used to think all those jewels are for us ladies :snooty:

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

I went to Tariq Road once (in Karachi) and saw a beauty parlour and thought I would check it out.The guard stopped me and said..“Bajee yeh siruf murdon key liyay hai”

:hoonh:

I was thinking..well I am sure this isnt a beauty parlour then..its looks more like a massage parlour to me!

Mens only beauty parlours?? Whats next?

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

As long as you promise to return our dresses:p

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

so r u the type that like hairy men? I think it's a good idea to be groomed. Specially if men ate taking their shirts off in public, like say the beach, I'd rather see a bare chest than chubaka. It's great to see men taking care of their looks.

I've seen men with ugly hairy hands and feet; bad nails. Men are definitely entitled to look better. I say they need it more than women.

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

hairy has limits!!! but yes i prefer a stubble (not a full grown mullah beard) than clean shave, definatly good to be groomed but he can do all his grooming in the comfort of his own bathroom, and on a beach id prefer a hairy chest... waxed chests jus look so boyish and i duno i jus prefer 'men' to 'boys'...

going to a beauty parlour doesnt mean men cant keep up with personal hygiene... he duznt NEED sum1 to clean his nails for him.. he can do it himself... lazy sod

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

and our makeup (marilin manson)
and our nail polish and sarongs (david beckham)
and most important of all our beauty parlours!!!

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

Personally, I don’t see any problem with men spending a little time to take care of themselves. We could also do our own pedicures and manicures at home but we don’t because everyone likes getting pampered once in a while. Now removing hair off the chest, if the dude’s wife or girlfriend likes a chikna chest, not my problem eh. I think it’s alright for men to get facials and all. Times have changed :jhanda:

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

if your makeup makes you look like marlyn manson, perhaps you should stay away from beauty parlors. :stuck_out_tongue:

sarongs are just modified macho man wear - lungees.

next.. :snooty:

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

thats wats a huge turnoff..times have changed and rugged men are no more...its all poofters (no offence intended)

i just think that a husband coming into a room asking his wife 'honey where are the tweezers i need to pluck my eyebrows' or 'darling u wax ur legs an il do my chest' or even 'lets have a pedicure together' is a tragedy!!

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

totally agree with nikky pehnji. i like my husbands chikni skin after the facials.. it feels soo baby-bum skin-like.. and all the men (the young ones) go for their facials and haircuts/chaves before any wedding party etc in our family.. its kinda funny and cute at the same time.. they all just parade out at the same time and come back looking like absolute HEROES!
plus i think its about time men have started taking care of their looks.. pehle eik zamana thaa when daddys were like "oh chaddo pare"

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

I don’t think that happens as dramatically as you have described here :smack:

It’s equal opportunity for all. If we can spend so much time trying to look young and keep the years off so can the men. I don’t want a hunka hunka looking junka junka (:chai:). We need to be on the same page :faizy:

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

Yeh I think men NEED to groom but there's definitely a limit. I don't care if they get waxed but the one thing I hate that looks very ugly is when get their eyebrows shaped very thinly. Unless u purposely wanna look like drag queen/ transexual please don't do it.

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

I dont mind if men groom themselves, as long as they have htier own parlours...even in the US u have ur womens salons and male barbershops...

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

DITTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So agree with you. Although i've only seen a few (an i mean very few) men who have plucked their eyebrows to make them look a little bit neater because they're too bushy....and they don't look so bad.

BUT.........I've also seen guys who take it way too far and you can tell that it's not just a subtle cleaning of the eyebrows....it's more like they've changed the shape. And it looks frickin feminine!

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

It's their choice. Who are we to tell them you can't do this to your face or nails or whatever. I am sure alot of men don't like their wives/gfs wasting all the time and money in salons each day but that doesn't mean the women stop going there.

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

ewwwww hairy men. i'd rather see a chili murghi than a neandrathal. honestly greasy hairy men r the biggest turn off no1 really likes dirty ppl so its better if men r going to parlours.

Re: men going to parlours bleugh

sheesh chicas, shut yo whining..just because it takes us men less effort to look better dunn mean you gotsa be hatin’ when we do put some extra effort.

why cant we pay someone to cut our finger and toenails? get a nice haircut, a good shave, and for those who want to manage their body hair better, let em.

gentlemen…let me take this opportunity to share with you my oasis of several years
