LOL!
guys going to the parlour to have a facial done is different to personal hygiene... a guy doesnt need a parlour to go get clean!! there both seperate issues... no one like a greasy, dirty man... on the other hand i dont like metro's who get their nails filed more often then moi... and with regards to guys doing there eybrows... i go to uni in london and EVERY guy does his eyebrows regularly even if he doesnt need to do em.. if the guy had a monbrow id understand but they dont they just like playing with girly things!!!! i prefer it when i whip out eyelash curlers and a guys like omg wth is that? rather than ooooh look shes got eyelash curlers, here come do mee do meeee!! in which case id slap into him some manly sense with my handbag hmph!
Re: men going to parlours bleugh
it duz happen that dramatically ive seen it with my own eyes!!!
women age quiker then men anyway so in all truths we need it… and equal opportunities and all but we both have different roles, dont think beauty parlours a place for men screws up nose
and LOL hunka hunka looking junka junka.. love it!! haha!
Re: men going to parlours bleugh
oh yea and with regards to sum ppl saying times have changed... im 20 so im practically still in the times!!
Re: men going to parlours bleugh
I dont mind if men groom themselves, as long as they have htier own parlours...even in the US u have ur womens salons and male barbershops...
aint got nuthing against women having parlours and men having barber shops, thats the way it shud stay.... i have sumink against men having parlours coz women dont have barber shops, not that im sure we'd want em
Re: men going to parlours bleugh
My husband goes for facials/massages/spa days etc here and there… when i’m in a good mood i give him manicures at home (no polish of course) and if i’m in a really really good mood i may even give him a pedicure (sometimes with nail polish but it’s not like anyones going to look at his feet
)… nothing wrong with a little pampering here and there as he has a very stressful job… i just don’t like it when he uses a handful of my expensive lotions and potions, when it says on the bottle to use a pea sized amount only ![]()

do women's nail grow at a significantly faster rate then mens'? one could make the argument that since men keep their nail short they probably would need more frequent care.
hygiene both men and women can accomplish at home..
people's skin takes a beating equally, actually it could be said that men's skin takes more of a beating considering many of the outdoors jobs are still dominated by men and they get assaulted by all the UV, discretionary activities liek sports, beach etc is a diff thing. Regardless..would we say men should not use uv blocks?
everyone has a right to take care of them.
interestingly enough in some places a man shaving his beard or mustache raises eyebrows (non trimmed ones i suppose) and get them labels.

so when women age they need it, why do young women need to go there? lets ban chicas from salonsuntil they have visible crowsfeets, smile ..or frown lines etc

both serve one purpose, grooming.
and as new procedures come out or newer ways to groom, why should one gender have access to it and another oen does not?
u know what.. lets flip the switch here then. leave all razors to men, let us shave, why use razors on legs..etc. thats so butch...shaving...women...bluech ;)
Re: men going to parlours bleugh
^ i agree. i guess some people are just not used to the idea of men going to spas and salons!
Re: men going to parlours bleugh
There is something very UNMANLY about a guy in beauty parlour or at a nail salon.
Imagine getting your pedicure and some hairy uncle sitting next you getting his nails done too. EWWWWWW
They need to have separate places and at the least please don't talk about it.

believe me, i have the exact same sentiment about having some crusty old sunburnt buddhi sitting next to me when I am getting a manicure. or dealing with yip-yapping teenage girls
Thank god for places like halo that keeps such riffraff out and civilized men can get a good haircut, manicure and massage in peace.
There is somethign very Unwomanly about a woman who needs a salon to look good..;)
Re: men going to parlours bleugh
Ok! first i want to ask our respected men here, why do some guys have a long nail of a pinky finger, it makes me wonder what the hell they do with it. Any one wana tell me about it?

I couldn't agree more...
Since you are regular at these places, question for you. Are the massage people guys or girls?

both, this way if someone things its ewe that another man is touching you then you can go with a woman, and if someone feels that is not allowed they can go with a man.
what about at women's spas?

what if you feel ewe with a man and wrong with a gal - what do you do then? :)
I have really not seen any women exclusive spas. Usually it's 99% females and there is poor chap that his wife or girl friend dragged him and he's bored out of his mind trying very hard to signal on his black berry in his fluffy robe. :)

Soon we will have massage robots so this whole point will be irrelevant

LOL I usually don't have preconceived notions of anyone except for ( and I feel bad saying this) guys that keep their nails long, even women that keep very long nails. It doesn't matter how many times a day u clean ur hands, that's just nasty and unhygenic.
Re: men going to parlours bleugh
My brother just went to get a massage last week and said they asked him if he prefers a male or female massage therapist. Btw he loved the massage.
And from that I found out what I'm getting for my husband's birthday present. I already know he's gonna love a gift certificate for a spa where he can get pampered. Fir all the women here that are disgusted by the thought, I feel bad for ur spouses specially if they hand a highly stressful job and most likely need things like this
