Re: light a candle in memory of victims or Ruju' ilal-Allah ?
but again we are focusing on differentiating......that was necessary when the new method being prescribed was a change to the way we practised the faith.
in this case we are not changing the faith....we have already agreed upon following the rules laid out in our deen that differentiate us......we have already done the salats and the duas.
please help me understand. it sounds to me like you are saying that we should do nothing except that which has been prescribed even if it does not interfere with our faith.
is this correct? if yes, then please suggest a practical alternative for those that live in a community where they are either a minority or where interaction with people from various faiths is a daily way of life.....
about your question... do you really think being a minority and interacting with various faiths stops one from practicing his own faith? if yes then its alarming (at least for me) and we need to change it.
and new practices in religion do not make their room in a day or month or even year, it takes several years of practices like this.
