**first of all i'm sorry to hear that...men are sometimes scumbags...this guy is a perfect example.
no matter what was said and what turned out to be the fact...nikaah is a valid one coz both parties accepted it. the girl's family is trying to fix an unfixable person. girl herself can ask for divorce on these grounds and if he refuses she can go to court [islamic or unislamic] and ask for nullification of the marriege called Khulaa. its a valid reason. she must be able to get a divorce. **
