India v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Mumbai

Fresh after thumping SL in the 2nd test at Kanpur, India will be looking to make it 2-0 and might play the same XI.

SL on the other hand, could be thinking about some changes to the playing XI :stuck_out_tongue:

This one should be a great game.

Go Team India :k:

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat

Sri Lanka 366/8

Main contributors for SL - Dilshan with 109 & Mathews with an unbeaten 86

Dilshan has really matured as a batsman scoring runs in every format, T20, ODI and Tests. This was his 6th century this year.

Re: India v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Mumbai

I like Mathews, this guy is good all rounder. Very good find for SL.

India 373/1 in reply to Sri Lanka’s 393
Sehwag 233*

Sehwag’s belligerent double hundred (off just 168 balls) - second fastest in test history - has completely flattened SLA attack. India will look to bat all day tomorrow (day 3) and get a sizeable first innings lead. The best SLA can hope to get out of this game is a draw.

405/1, Sehwag 262* (215 balls)

India surpass SLA’s 393 for the loss of just one wicket!

Sehwag on course to beating his own record

Re: India v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Mumbai

well lara scored 400 so it wont be counted in 300 .........at least thats what i think so

No that is also counted. Your double and triple hundreds are included in your career hundreds. Sehwag's 6 test double hundreds (the most by an indian) include his two triple hundreds...but ofcourse each double and triple hundred is counted as a single hundred in the final tally

Re: India v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Mumbai

well thats something new to me ......thanks for the info.........sehwag is 284 not out.........well i dont wanna see another 300 from him ..........

Damn!!! 284* of 239 balls

Re: India v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Mumbai

Awesome batting display by Veeru :k: His 284 completely overshadowed the 87 by M Vijay

And no excuses about a flat pitch this time

Re: India v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Mumbai

Veeru chaa gaya hai.... am so happy to see and co's A$$ whipped with like that.... good one Sehwag :D

Where can I watch the highlights from Veeru's innings online ?

Re: India v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Mumbai

royal chitrool from Shewag ... he was treat to watch yesterday although I only watched till he move to 120s but he was quite destructive.

The other opener (I forgot his name) was also looking solid. Its amazing how India has consistently producing good batsmen. Now if that other opener can really converted his career is to be seen.

^ The other opener is Murali Vijay (one of the IPL finds) And he is playing in his 2nd test :)

Damn flat track bullies.

Sehwag can be very destructive when in this sort of mood. Lets hope he breaks Lara’s record tomorrow. Whats the highest score by an Indian?

Re: India v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Mumbai

319 by Veeru...against SA

This was also the fastest triple ton in test history :)

Re: India v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Mumbai

Good luck Veeru... I want to see another massacre of SL Bowlers tomorrow... India should try to make something like 800+ and give it back to SL..
You have no idea, how happy I get when I see that choker Murali being whooped all over :D
