Jugar is not maloomat ...Jugar may not even a word .. maybe it was a slang that got into normal spoken urdu ..

Ive heard it myself! And when I asked, I was told it means patah lagana...maloomat karna...something like that.

whenever I heard the usage of word jugar, it is used in the context of finding a quick solution or out of the box solution ..

like "ko'ee jugaar karo yaar" means "figure out something to solve this problem"

Jugar means 'using a trick to do something'. Never heard of it being used as maaloomat karna.

Jugar lagana means finding a different way to solve a problem.
