It can have a few meanings .. yours is also correct .. it depends on where and how its used.

Some time back , I used to be a DJ at an FM station ... the producer said you will be doing the show called Shauq-e-saffar ...
I was shocked that why they were naming my english show shock-n-suffer ....
I refused to do the show !
Later when they sat with me, they explained what shauq-e-saffar meant !!
