if a man is nikkahfied with 4 ladies, then it is ok to sleep with one at a time.
i dont see any islamic prohibition as long as husband can fulfill the rights of each wife.
now the concept of threesomes is not supported by teaching of Islam.

the people who question (if it occurs to them) why men are allowed 4 marriages and women are not may have lost their faith in the Providence but maybe they can answer then why only women can procreate. These distinctions are made by Allah. And we accept them as they are.

whatever you said it completely incorrect and is a complete misinterpretation of Islamic law and teaching at multiple levels
there is no such ruling that says men can only marry up to four women during war and post war times. If you look at Islam as a functioning and look at all sorts of reasons and justifications then you realize there all the things that are allowed and others disallowed because of some reason. Prophet pbuh did not give any reason to any ruling by Allah swt what he gave is the wisdom the word reason must not be associated with rulings of Allah swt because he does not need a reason to make us to such and such. The concept of reason comes in play when we try to explain something that doesnt quite fit our understanding.
There were no rulings in Islam by the end of its completion where any of them were not applicable for people to come.
By you saying not applicable because no reason anymore means that Islam was left incomplete, the prophet pbuh did not tell us what to do in our time and so forth.

Good points Shahreyar Khan but the thing is i doubt 99% of the people who do go for 2nd or 3rd/4th marriages do so for the right reasons and even if the reason may be right, the don't end up fulfilling the responsibilities of having multiple wives at the same time. It's not a kids game to manage a single wife and the responsibilities only doubled/triple up with more wives and most men fail to fulfill them.

Oh, God. Why can't we ever have a discussion without bringing religion into it constantly? Is that all that defines us (I'm sure many will say yes) but in theory, we should be able to have an exchange of opinion or discussion without having to bring religion into it. The OP asked a random question, inserted the possibility of it being allowed in Islam for those that base their opinion off of it out of courtesy. It doesn't mean every person who has the opposite view has to get beat with the Religion Cane. Also because not everyone on here is a Muslim. Just sayin'.

I would politely disagree M. "our own research" can make us astray. therefore what must we ask Allah from, is the guidance to the right path, even before exercising this right of research and all that, because a hair's breadth can turn you from momin to kafir. Again, Kufr is nothing but NEGATION. whatever commands, the dos and donts have been mentioned in Quran, and that in Ahadeeth, are the final word. Because I dont believe the Rasool Ullah would have said anything from himself. So there isnt nor should be any question regarding this point isnt validate anymore so nullifies itself and all that.
