I appologise if it sounds rude but I feel the need to share my views which could be totally wrong. It would be better not to assume/consider anything against the principles of the creator, in respect for the Creator. Also in respect for the humanity, because it would degrade human if we give human an option to behave like pigs, even if it is just for the sake of discussion.
Such thoughts causes shiver to humans beloging to any religion, just like we don't ask assume/consider about marriage with sibling, parent..etc. even if we were allowed to.

No, I wouldn't and I should have added in my first post 'if it was halal and/or socially acceptable.' Btw not sure how it's 'disgusting' when many religious sites themselves (eg Sunnipath) discuss why women don't have the option to do it whilst men do in Islam..

As for the disgusting part. I called it disgusting, because i think it is disgusting. If somebody doesnt find it disgusting, good for her.
And if many religious sites dicuss the issue, it doesnt mean that it becomes more acceptable or less disturbing.

I wasn't trying to 'prove' anything, it's called making a statement and yes, I think if it was considered so disgusting it wouldn't even be brought up on Islamic sites. I understand some ppl have a cultural bias when it comes to asking why and wondering what the reasons behind the boundaries and rulings are in Islam but that doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong.

And why do you keep mentioning islamic sites discussing this matter? Them discussing it will not make it acceptable or halal. They discuss many things that are haram. So?

to both DP and deeba, the point of explanation/purpose on islamic sites is to explain the wisdom and reasoning behind how and why rules are set the way they are and so forth - which is completely not the case is forums like GS
i dont know why you keep on hammer your point on islamic website - their purpose is completely different that any other discussion forum

Oh, God. Why can't we ever have a discussion without bringing religion into it constantly? Is that all that defines us (I'm sure many will say yes) but in theory, we should be able to have an exchange of opinion or discussion without having to bring religion into it. The OP asked a random question, inserted the possibility of it being allowed in Islam for those that base their opinion off of it out of courtesy. It doesn't mean every person who has the opposite view has to get beat with the Religion Cane. Also because not everyone on here is a Muslim. Just sayin'.
