It’s been a month since my last waxing, I haven’t plucked in between.
I took pictures when I was waxing today, to show you the way I do my eyebrows.
**You will need : **
Wax strip
Scissors
Tweezers
Lighter
Eyebrow brush
Olive Oil
Step 1 : Cut the strip in small pieces so the waxing would be easier**.** Step 2 : Take the square sized piece of strip, warm it with a lighter and place it between your eyebrows.
Pull the skin gently from one hand and pull off the strip with the other one.
**Step 3 **: Take the next piece of strip and place it as shown in the picture, and pull it off. Step 4 : Take the left strips and proceed the same way.
Be careful this time, don’t be harsh to your skin as it may burn ! Gently pull off. Step 5 : Finish off with plucking the hairs that couldn’t be pulled off by the wax. Step 6 : Gently rub olive oil on wax residues and then clean the excess with a tissue.
Here’s the final look, I filled my eyebrows with a dark brown eyeshadow.
You have gorgeous eyes and eyebrows. I know I've said this before a trillion times but everything is SO SYMMETRICAL! And great tutorial, you should totally start a blog!
For those who may be scared using the lighter- Instead of using the lighter, I blow on it (warm breath) while slowly peeling the strip in two. Works like a charm!
I also use a bigger strip on the under brow and place it such that I'm pulling it left to right (or right to left), instead of more down up. But I think this depends on the type of eyebrow you have.
I HIGHLY recommend this, though! I have been doing it for 6-7 years, and now I only have couple of hair left which I tweeze since I'm comfortable waxing really close to the eyebrow line.
Like M said, Sidra, your eyebrows are SO symmetrical, I love it!
Usually rubbing the strips between two hands/fingers is enough to warm them up? But yeah, great job, I've waxed mine a few times and it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy less painful than threading, threading just kills me, and it takes so much longer :(

I used to do that, until I realized that if you "rub" the strip between your hands, the wax disperses around on the strip, which means you wont have perfect lines to put against your brow line.
Also, I recommend keeping these strips in the fridge (especially in the summer) because the warm weather can also spread the wax around on the strip, not giving you perfect edges.
If the hairs are pulled from the root, the growth will be the same. What often happens is that hairs break, rather than being pulled out from the root and if they are anagen hairs, they will continue growing like normal and become obvious again quickly. That can happen with either technique if not performed correctly.
Thanks a lot !
It hurts less than threading, and I don't have pimples or nasty bumps later.
I prefer using a lighter, the wax melts easily. When I warm it up with my fingers, it doesn't help and burns my skin (when pulling off)
I feel like it's the easiest way to do them. I have to re-wax every 3/4 weeks. This time I intentionally didn't touch them.
You can easily manage a wax strip compared to a thread where I often pull out my eyelashes.
^ You have mentioned a very important point, that it hurts LESS! And 3/4 weeks is actually very similar to threading. Even after so many years, I grit my teeth with threading of my eyebrows. It just hurts too much! So I'm going to try and have my eyebrows waxed next time!

Stoppit, since I get mine done professionally , I presume they will use the correct technique with waxing...the only question is, does waxing pull the skin under the brow and thus make it sag??
