I thread myself and I don't think its all that painful. Maybe I'm used to it. I don't like using wax - such a mess with having to remove wax residue afterwards.

Wow, get picture tutorial Sidra! I tweeze my eyebrows but have been thinking of trying to wax them myself. Which wax strips do you use?

I thread my sister's eyebrows, she's okay with it. But I could cry buckets when I thread or get them thread.
I'm much more comfortable with waxing :D

Has anyone waxed after applying numbing cream? Am wondering if that would make it totally painless..

Stoppit, since I get mine done professionally , I presume they will use the correct technique with waxing...the only question is, does waxing pull the skin under the brow and thus make it sag??
I would hope so but it depends on the skill of the aestheticians.
In the long term, it will definitely contribute to wrinkling and sagging of the eye area. If you're having it done at a salon, hot film wax will pull the skin the least.

Not sure if you can use emla or similar on the eye area. If you can, it should make it painless.
Have to say though, waxing never caused me even slight pain.

I don't feel comfortable with the idea of waxing my eyebrows. Waxing (what I've heard/read) removes a layer of your skin....making it more sensitive to the sun's rays. Considering that a good chunk of the wrinkles are due to the sun.....for those suggesting that waxing may lead to wrinkling....this could be one of the reasons besides pulling/tugging of the skin.

I don't think so. You're not really manipulating the eye are too much with tweezing.

You guys forgot to mention how waxing the eyebrows could make you break out around that area 
I have oily skin, don’t know if that’s the reason. Waxed them for the first (and the last!) time last week and I’ve broken out all around my eyebrows (not the forehead). I have a pimple bindi in between my eyebrows! 
So girls with oily/sensitive skin, beware!
PS: It did not hurt at all!

BBQ, sad to hear that, I also have oily skin and waxing doesn't cause that to me, but threading does =/

i have long eye brow hair how would you trim them? besides both my eyebrows are not the same shame :( its really hard to get the same thicknes lol
i sound like i got 1 thick and 1 thin eyebrow! lol
