Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
i want to say that pride means you should not be ashamed of your ethnicity and should love your own culture...
I got your point.. Its actually owning your culture.. be vocal about richness of your culture and accept deficiencies and try to find out solution, how to overcome on such deficiencies.
I've no shame on accepting that if we have heroes like Hosh Muhammad Sheedi our land had / has traitors who got their people killed and got big jageers which still provide them a reason to exploit poor people of our land.
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
Most of the bigger jageerdars have served the Brits (across the divide), you can judge by their titles, that is our history sadly...the same people are still ruling us...
But the saddest part is that ppl still worship these Feudal.
In Sindh, basically Hurs fought the British throughout their stay in the subcontinent and sadly they were then persecuted first by Bhutto and then Benazir...
[edit]Hurs in the 1965 War
In 1965 war between India and Pakistan about 65,000 Hurs served in various fronts especially that of Sindh, the Southern desert sector was a mere sideshow to the major battles fought in the Punjab and in Kashmir. However the Indians had placed two divisions in the desert with the aim of tying down Pakistani troops.
Facing a shortage of troops and unable to divert any substantial forces from the Punjab and Kashmir sectors (where the main Indian thrust has come), the commander of the Pakistan Rangers, Brigadier Khuda Dad Khan, turned to local help. Hurs volunteered in droves. Given only basic training and light weapons, the Hurs nevertheless gave a fine account of themselves in the conflict. Fighting alongside Rangers and regular army units (known collectively as the Desert Force), the Hurs used their knowledge of the desert to good effect and helped to blunt the Indian offensive. But, perhaps their most famous (and militarily important) action was the capture of the Indian fort of Kishangarh, a feature located several kilometers inside India.
[edit]Persecution of Hurs by Bhutto Government
In 1972 Zulfikar Ali Bhutto became the president and then the prime minister of Pakistan. Under his government, the Government of Sindh started a crackdown on Hurs. Matters got worst when four prominent fakirs were gunned down by police. Their photos appeared in the newspapers as dacoits gunned down by police in armed combat.[SUP]citation needed][/SUP] This happened despite the fact that Sindhies considered Hurs as Sindh's heroes and the historic Bhutto family personally respected Pir Pagaro. In the general elections of 1977, Pir Pagaro decided to break the tradition of not becoming involved in power politics and ran for the seat of parliament from Mr. Bhuttos hometown of Larkana. This was a symbolic gesture of protest but Pir Pagaro was arrested. This saw a bloody clash of Hurs and government leaving hundreds of Hurs and government officials dead.

Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
yes this fight of ethnicity is biggest problem for a number of nations....
turk-kurd
arab-kurd
iranian-arab
recently you can see worst kind of violance against uzbeks in kyrgyzstan....though both ethnicities are muslim....
And in my view mother of all is hutu and tutsi civil war in rwanda...ok back to topic....
Though we blame army personnel for supporting british...while a sound number of indian were employed in government offices...
i suspect majority of us have such ancestors....very lucky few might be related to freedom fighters...
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
Can you prove that? Or just zehni Ikhtelaaj?
zehni marz ka pere paas ilaaj nahi, naa hi mere paas 'denial' ka ilaaj hai. After removing biased glassed, read her statements and meetings with US officials after she was removed then you will know, but chances of that are 0.0001%
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
She and her family was giving services to Mush a few years ago... then suddenly she becomes democratic... and now she is 'your obedient servant' to the imperial Briton.
aur ham log inhi ko vote dain gey...
as soon as she joins PTI (God forbid) she will be called super lota/loti, but as long as she in PPP and has changed parties in past she is not lota/loti.
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
The ancestors were living as a slave under the British, why are the rulers of the so called sovereign country still behaving as slaves?
Ask this question to rulers. Since 1947, rulers have contineously behaving as slaves. And rulers are from people of Pakistan. Ghulamana zihniet ki bhuhat purani history hay, it is all in the geans.
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
sachay bro
Its not the case for comparing Punjab Vs Sindh. If in Punjab, there were Malik, Chohdris, Khars getting title of Sir (for whatever reasons for giving bath to puppies or killing their own people) then Leghari, Bhutto, Jatoi feudal lords of Sindh and Balochistan were not angel. They did got rewards and awards for disloyalty to their land and people.
I have never raised that issue. It is the thread which is pointing to origin of problem. I have just quoted the history which is 100% true. ab kisi ko mirchian lagti hain to main kya karon. One should be careful while opening a thread following by bakwaas and nonsense, which should be corrected with facts.

Read your post #11 again. Link what you are saying.
Why BB was ousted in the first place? Was not she elected by people of Pakistan? You have noting to say about the fact which was illegal and highly condemnable, but you kept on doing character assassination without any proof.
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
I dont know what was the significance of 62nd Punjab Regiment in this thread. Anyways according to the history of this regiment it was created in South India (why was it not established in Punjab?), and had some muslims and hindus. What was the percentage of muslims in that?
Someone was labeling her as mir jaafar and mir saadiq, I have to quote who were actually mir jaafar and mir saadiq. Above regiment was very much pertinent as they fought in Mysur war against Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. If her and others' ancestors were part of that regiment then definitely they belong to that category.
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family’s services to them
It is not Bhuttos versus Punjabis, it is the history which shows that how Punjab before partition were dominating in serving British masters, as one moderator keeps on stupid rhetoric “engrez bhadur ke kuton ko nehlana”, being ignorant or forgetting own history.

No I did not say that neither I am in any way disgracing any one here. What people in past did for Britishers were perhaps were in their own best interest. It is one of the moderator who is quoting above nonsense. I do not go down to that level. sorry.

She may be loti but that is not the issue here. I never liked her Unlce Ghulam Mustaf Khar either who was right hand of Bhutto during first PPP regime.

where did I say she was not elected? I can prove my allegations if there was archive of papers from 90s available and searchable on net :), but then again it is for people who are not blinded by love for party instead of rules.

Of course it is not an issue, because she is currently in PPP.

Please give proof of the mir jaffar thing, I have already rebutted your 62 Punjab thing as that was formed in south India and had south Indians in it. Besides why are you supporting khar you should be happy after all she is the daughter of Mir jaffars you are talking about.
