Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family’s services to them
The answer of 62 Punjab regiment is in the first few lines of the article that you posted yesterday. 62 Punjab regiment was formed as a part of madras army, Punjab was not under the control of the Brits until 1849 whereas tipu sultan was killed in 1799. By 1857 there were not many punjabis in the British army. During the 1900’s british coined the terminology of martial classes, thats when they started recruiting from north Punjab, Pashtuns, Sikhs etc.
Note: if you read the article that you posted yesterday all the answers are there, read the first two paragraphs of the early history of 62 Punjab where it clearly says that 2nd madras was renamed as 62 Punjab in 1902 and then they started recruiting Sikhs, punjabi Muslims etc.
As far as Tipu Sultan’s death is concerned:
British troop compositionWhen the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War broke out, the British assembled two large columns under General George Harris. The first consisted of over 26,000 British East India Company troops, 4,000 of whom were European while the rest were local Indian sepoys. The second column was supplied by the Nizam of Hyderabad, and consisted of ten battalions and over 16,000 cavalry. Together, the allied force numbered over 50,000 soldiers. Tippu’s forces had been depleted by the Third Anglo-Mysore War and the consequent loss of half his kingdom, but he still probably had up to 30,000 soldiers.[SUP]citation needed]

The British forces consisted of the following:[SUP][1]](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/#cite_note-battleorder-0)
[/SUP]
The Indian (sepoy) forces consisted of the following:[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2]

The 2nd Madras that I have highlighted above was converted into 62 Punjab in 1902.

How do you know that? It does not matter that they were fist part of another regiment. But later they were given name as 62nd Punjabi and it does not mean that they did participate in war of Mysur. Even in 1857 ki Jang-e-Azadi, Punjabi soldiers were used to genocide old people, women and children in Jarhan wala Bagh. You need to read history.
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
^ FACT: Recent history tells us that this foreign minister was a dear friend of a dictator. How come she is now an esteemed minister in a 'democracy is best revenge' set up?
Why are angraizon key kuttay nahlanay walay given such high posts in a supposedly democratic government?
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
Re read the Wikipedia article that you posted (everythings there and on internet) and then come back to me, by the way when was tipu sultan killed and when was Punjab occupied. Two questions for you!
Another lie where is jalianwala located, and read about the comPosition of general dyre's forces, there is a thread In the history section.
I will rephrase the questions for simplicity:
1) When and where was 62 regiment formed and who were the recruits (surprise the answer is in the article that you posted)?
2) when was tipu sultan killed?
3) what's the composition of forces that killed him?(the information is in this thread)
4) when was Punjab occupied?
5) where is jallianwala bagh located?
6) what was the composition of the forces that carried out the massacre?
One should not distort facts in hatred.

Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family’s services to them
Read follows and pose this question to Imran Kha Niazi. By the way he was the same Niazi who gave East Pakistan on tray to Indians.
Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Early life
Niazi was born in 1915 to a Ghilzai Pashtun family in the Punjab British State, British Indian Empire.[2] In 1932, he enlisted in the British Indian Army as a junior non-commission officer and was sent to Indian Military Academy where he gained B.Sc. in Military science.[2] Niazi also did a paratrooper course while his stay at the Academy.[2] Upon completing his training and studies, Niazi gained officiate (Second Lieutenant) commissioned in 5th Paratrooper of the Punjab Regiment in 1937.[2] He served well Pacific Theatre of World War II.[2]
Re: Hina Rabbani Khar reminds the Brits of her family's services to them
Even the latest article that you have posted talks about the period when Punjab was colonized post 1849 although tipu sultan had been killed in 1799 (50 years earlier).
