No one have courage to talk about a sitting coas. No one talked abt kiyani. Just praises..Only wen he left stories abt him open up. I hope that nothing like this happen this time. He sure was much better than kiyani. But not a savour of pakistan too. He took some good decisions but shud have done better specially about the good taliban bad taliban thing that persist in army.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa new COAS. Hope he is even better than RS and carries on the good policies.
(Although I feel General Zubair Hayat or General Ishfaq Nadeem would’ve been more deserving than General Bajwa for coas.)

He’s an extremely close family friend - my FILs course mate and friend from youth… and as a person, he is amazing. Graceful, knowledgable, and inshAllah a very good choice for COAS and Pakistan. His only loyalties are to Pakistan…having met him a few times, i can say this with certainty.

Raheel sharif did a few good things, and one of that was to improve the image of army amongst the general populace and that itself was an uphill task due to Musharraf and kayani. Don’t know the incoming COAS, he will have work really hard to match his predecessors stature…

I believe the same will be true for other 3 gentlemen as well. ( If not than it is a bgger problem for army ) . For me the most important strategies a COAS shud give to Whole army will be
- Zero tolerance on any type of extremism ( that must include extinction of good taliban , bad taliban policy )
- Clear inforamtion to all political parties , to not to look to them as Umpire and wait for their finger . Mr. RS did waited for IK to bring 10 Lac ppl. Had IK succeeded in bringing this no. Umpire had raised the finger . Why this deal was done with IK ?? This point has been confiremd by A qadir baloch yesterday…

By the way Nawaz sharif provided plenty of opportunities to RS to take advantage of, if he wanted. In contrast to his image portrayed by Maryams media cell, he was a professional and remained so till the end. Through out his tenure, he remained more popular than Nawaz sharif…
