Whatever.... You men don't know how to be the best husbands... Go ahead use your right in a false manner! Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) teaches us that: "The best of you are those who treat their wives in the best way". You can't even treat the first one right way and want to keep pursuing more and more marriages. I have seen destruction in families associated with polygamy. Maybe, I am one of them being affected throughout my life in a very abusive manner. Go to hell all of you! Lol. Just kidding. One is not good enough so go and efff more! :p

IT IS SAD THAT GIRLS are not allowed to do four marriages at a time... :( .... It is an efficient tool for men to fulfill their desires by leaving their wives hanging. Many men use this authority in lust rather than the actual purpose of being imposed. I will never have the courage to share my husband unless it was related to disability. Can men really accept ANOTHER GUY with their wives like we do? Men deserve a mental torture and sleepless nights too!
Puzzling Question
If a woman has four husbands and one of them has four wives and if one of wives has three husband can she marry one of the husbands of the first wife who has only three wives, if so what will be the relation between these two husbands?

Lol. Female circumcision isn't 'halal' - that's a very strong positive word. There's no commandment to it in the Quran or hadith. It predates Islam and is a cultural practice. Sheesh.

Frustration can be taken out this way but I haven't said anything wrong about prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Haven't you seen youtube comments bashing on our beloved prophet and how people try to get their mouths to shut...
Men in this forum are not open-minded, selfish, and they can't even realize the damage done to the families when they pursue another wife. ATLEAST MAKE ONE HAPPY FOR GOD'S SAKE IF YOU WANNA BE THE BEST MUSLIM.

A lot of pople are happy in marriages with multiple wives. Stop being led on by Bollywood/Paki dramas - there are other ways of living your life...and they also lead to happiness.

It's the same logic you are using to justify polygamy. And there are lots of muslims who use this same logic to justify female circumcision - just google. The Quran or hadith don't say "Go forth and marry many women because that will bring you happiness'. It says you can do it if you are able to treat them all equally and in the same breath goes on to say that is very difficult. Just like it says to cut a little if you must. Polygamy too was a cultural practice so your argument is identical.

It’s funny how there are so many men on forum insisting that women are happy with polygamy - let’s hear from the women who are in a polygamous relationship and how they truly feel. Every single one I have seen, the woman has stayed put in the marriage because she had no where to go, no independent means, was threatened with divorce otherwise, did not want to lose her children.
And most of those claiming to be happy with the situation are putting a brave face on it - nobody wants to admit to living in a state of humiliation.
Personally, I think fidelity is the least you can expect from a man you’ve committed to spending your life with. It’s a reciprocal commitment and if my future hubby was unfaithful - had a girlfriend/mistress/another wife - I’d cut his ---- off.
What’s with asking women to support polygamy - it’s like asking turkeys to vote for thanksgiving.

You seem unable to grasp the concept of cultural brainwashing so let me illustrate with a more suitable example.
Assuming you’re a Muslim from a relatively conservative background, you wouldn’t believe in pre-marital sex or living together. There are people who would think that you’re nuts for believing that. See how culture makes a difference?
Western culture openly drinks and celebrates alcohol, yet abhors marijuana, when the latter is far less harmful. Just because most people in society consider marijuana to be harmful and evil, doesn’t mean that it actually is.
You and I have been raised in cultures where polygamy is unusual, and condemned, and thus, both of us think that it is a strange arrangement. However, I recognize that I am biased, having lived in a monogamous culture, whereas you assume that cultural perceptions are fact. To state that every single woman in a polygamous relationship was forced to enter it, is an absurd claim. Is this the case for the vast majority of women? Probably. On the other hand, if Bill Gates decided he wants a second wife, you would still judge him, even though he would be able to provide her with a lifestyle that 99.9% of men could not.

Female circumcision has no basis in the Quran. Do you know anything about hadith authenticity/strength? Sahih Muslim and Sahih Bukhari are the strongest books of the most reliable hadith. Hadith come from chains of cources - so the most reliable ones are the one's people generally use to justify things. There are MANY reliable sources for polygamy, as well as the biggest one being the Quran. Female circumcision has NO presence in any Quranic verse. The few hadith that allude to it are very weak. Female circumcision is high in Africa mainly, otherwise it's rare and unheard of it. It's prevalence in Africa stems from cultural practices that predated the introduction of Islam and Christianity/monotheism in the area.
As for polygamy, yes, the Quran states that if you even fear that you'll be unable to provide the same material lifestyle, the same amount of time and attention to both your wives...you must not take on another wife. But if you can - go ahead. Good for you. I don't know if you've been to Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country, but women there live in polygamous households and they're happy with it. Like Ghost14 stated, yes, there are some women forced to deal with it and they may be unhappy, but stop saying that polygamy is just terrible all-around. We've viewed marriage and commitment as being between one man and one women - cos we're raised like that...it's not the case world over.
