Re: FOUNDATION!
Can’t you use a sponge applicator?
Re: FOUNDATION!
I dont like to use any sponges on my face for two reasons.
Im not comfy with the idea of reusing the sponge after first use
Secondly cause all of that rubbing and blending in will result in wrinkles.
I prefer fingers.
Re: FOUNDATION!
They solution to your problem is a foundation with light reflecting particles- think Touche Eclat by YSL. The particles in the foundation reflect light back (don't know where!) and give the illusion of a clear, glowing complexion. I know people who use liquid foundations with light reflecting particles and their skin looks lovely! Their pictures at parties/weddings come out GORGEOUS too mashallah. Try going for a shade that is your exact skin colour or one shade darker (shock horror!). I've found that some Asian people try foundations that are lighter than their natural skin tone and this can make their skin appear ashen and dull.
Hope this helps. x
Re: FOUNDATION!
For everyday wear, I like Bare Minerals.
Foundations
What’s the best foundation you’ve used?
I don’t usually wear makeup on a regular basis, esp. not foundation (way too lazy lol). I wear it on special occasions and that’s when I need like full matte coverage as a base. I had MAC Studio Tech and it was really good. I just ran out recently so I need to get a new foundation and I wanted to try something new. I’m thinking maybe Lancome?
Has anyone tried either of these?

http://www.lancome-usa.com/makeup/foundations/dual-finish.htm
Lancome is more expensive, though. MAC’s is only $27 whereas these are like $35. :bummer:
Re: Foundations
i used this http://www.lancome-usa.com/makeup/foundations/dual-finish.htm and it worked well..but i feel that the foundation colors at lancome aren’t suitable for desi skin..i didn’t find any foundation yellow enough for me at lancome but if your skin color is different go ahead and try it..you can use this one dry or wet..wet gives you fuller coverage and dry gives you light..both work well
Re: Foundations
Phatima, honestly you don’t need any foundation, you’re jsut a baby. (and no way someone much younger htan me is buying more spensive makeuP
)
but any ways, since u dont wear it very often, get something that can work for every day, something light.. lancome is good but i use it only for special occasions, ive found bare minerals to be better fr every day use
Re: Foundations
Prescriptives.
Re: Foundations
marwah - yea I was looking at the shades online and they don't seem to have as much variety as MAC. I think I'll go to the Lancome counter at our mall and ask them to test the closest shade on me.
Sara - Since I only use foundation when I'm getting dressed up, I need something that gives full coverage so it works as a good base for when I put on makeup. What kind do you use? Your skin is amazing! =)
Sahar - How's the coverage? Is it just light or does it give like a matte finish?
Re: Foundations
i don't ever use foundation, unless i am going to a function like prom. i do have a can of era face spray on foundation, and it's water based and so it looks very natural and does not dry the skin out. i've had the can for over 2 years now, but the salon lady said that it does not ever expire, and it doesn't smell bad or anything, so i'm still keeping it for another 2 years!
Re: Foundations
yea i don’t trust myself with the spray-on foundation. i’ll probably end up making a mess ![]()
Re: Foundations
yea u just need practice with it. once u get a hold of it, it takes less than 30 seconds to get the foundation on
Re: Foundations
Can someone please list the brands of spray on foundations?
Re: Foundations
face spray! i've never even heard of that! can someone show me a picture of it? does it work well?
Re: Foundations

Re: Foundations

Re: Foundations
