Well, in certain developing countries, you dont have the luxury of being picky over what you eat. Other people feel they have a religous obligation to eat meat, so muslims dont see things that way. So being a vegetarian is no ideal for everyone, although it should be.

Your going of the point however. The point is, we as a society and even as individuals should try to limit the pain we induce in animals we consume where ever possible. It may not be possible with Fish etc, but it may be possible with other animals. If its feasible we should.

People who don’t want to ‘cause pain’ should stop ‘consuming’ them, simple. People who are ‘vegetarians’ should not force their ideals on others and vice versa. People who believe ‘animal be not pained for consumption’ should not force their belief on people who believe otherwise. I can only agree when people oppose causing pain to animal for fun.
